using your logical many haredi rabbi should not be recognozed as rabbis either since they are almost as bad as jews for jesus. many haredi rabbis do not represent torah judaism. in fact some refrm & conservative rabbis are more jewish than some haredi rabbis.

The only real solution to the request is strict separation of synagogue and State - to the benefit of both. Let any group (yes, Jews for Jesus, too) hire any rabbi or other clergyperson they want. The Stae should not be hiring rabbis for anyone.

All of us believers who are rail against the atheism and the extremedisconnect from Judaism that is pervading and fragmenting Israeli society: we are shooting ourselves in the foot by setting up barriers for conservative and reform Judaism.
