1. Fun Fact: I didn't know there was an Israeli Anti-Trust
Henry from New York ,   USA   (02.09.12)
Authority until yesterday. You know why? Because they obviously don't lift a finger to actually do their jobs!
2. Bottled water is a con and has been proven to be so
Al   (02.09.12)
I live in water rich Canada, where you have water everywhere. Time and time again its been foound that bottled water is no better than tap water. Clean up your water resources and stop this waste of funds. Stop pissing into the bowl from which you drink.
3. Never understood the bottled water trend
Talula ,   Israel   (02.09.12)
We are not a third-world country. We have access to fresh running water - why not drink it. It's just a yuppy fad to be seen with a water bottle. I most certainly won't shell out for what I already pay for at home.
4. Brita water tastes awesome!

5. Different types of water!
solomon ,   bklyn   (02.09.12)
The article refers to water through a filter system, which is non carbonated water, versus mineral water, which is carbonated water. Something fishy going on.
6. I won't eat or drink in a restaurant
(02.09.12)
Which doesnt have alternatives to Strauss. I want to be able to order bottled mineral water, San Pelegrino, and free, tap water if I want. I don't want to be fed by whatever Strauss wants. What is the name of that restaurant which has the exclusivity agreement with Strauss, so that I kniw which one o boycott.
7. Do as I do, run the tap, bottle the water
BEN JABO ,   ISRAEL   (02.10.12)
put it in the fridge You'll never know the difference, it is all in your state of mind Those water bottling companies don't have any sacred wells, they're using the same sources you are, except the packaging is fancy, you're paying for the label, the content is free at your water faucet, except for the usual water charges Prove that P.T. Barnum was right whe he said "There's a sucker born every minute"
8. #7 - apparently reusing some plastic bottles is a bad idea.
Henry from New York ,   USA   (02.10.12)
They impart rather nasty chemicals to them. Best to use glass bottles in my opinion.
9. Elitist Fads....
Koose E Mack ,   NY NY   (02.10.12)
Besides...as Groucho once said, "If you knew what fish did in Water... you wouldn't drink it!"
10. #8 Henry - Plastic was used the 1st time
BEN JABO ,   ISRAEL   (02.10.12)
refilling them wouldn't change the chemicals they are made from IN the old days, right after 1948, Israel had a severe shortage of glass bottles, so severe, they ordered a boatload of beer, in order to get bottles Ask any old time Israeli, he'll remember Glass bottles are subject to breakage and weigh more than plastic
11. #10 - it's important to remember that there are different
Henry from New York ,   USA   (02.10.12)
types of plastics made using different methods and chemicals. It is best to use #5 plastic if you're going to reuse it. Some of the others impart some of their unhealthy properties to water after they're opened. That's what the strange taste you sometimes get is.
12. #11 Henry - if you're that fussy
BEN JABO ,   ISRAEL   (02.10.12)
I would suggest you bring a bottle of your own choice As far as I am concerned, when I am someplace where it's hot, I'll drink anything cool that quenches my thirst If I am thirsty enough how cool it is doesn't matter, just as long as it's wet and safe to drink, in my humble opinion
