Istvan ,   BUDAPEST HUNGARY   (02.09.12)
maybe mr Netanyahu and mr Obama never heard about. The non persian minorities, 49% of total population, kurds, beludshis, arabs, azeris and many others, hate their persian opressors, and all they desire is freedom and independence.
6. Chamnerlain and Churchill . ?
Arn. ,   Sweden.   (02.09.12)
Amazing if this is true, and not for Show only. The Iranian Threath and Danger mounts by the Day, and waiting could give the Iranians the Opportunity, and Boldness, to strike First, with a barrage of Missiles against everything in the Persian Gulf, and Eastern Saudiarabian Peninsula. Waiting will also require Nuces to Deal with Iran, against Her underground Nuclear Facility, as the Israeli DF has given a hint at. Arn.Sweden.

8. Obama is a FOOL; Bibi is a BIGGER FOOL
Shani ,   Israel   (02.09.12)
Achmedinejad is evil and should have been dealt with a LONG time ago; instead the US invites him to speak at the UN. This world is crazy.
9. Obama's plan
israel israeli ,   tel aviv   (02.09.12)
It might be that Obama has finally realized the magnitude of his failure and is now taking the threat Iran poses to the US seriously. During his first term he allowed his hatred for Jews to dictate foreign policy: he destroyed Egypt, weakened Israel and Lebanon, almost lost Turkey, and strengthened Hamas, Syria and Iran. He is now taking a gamble. If he manages to overthrow Assad, Iran might be weakened enough for him to declare victory. If Assad (with Putin's help) manages to defeat Obama's forces or even manages to broadcast pictures of a captured CIA or SAS agent operating in Syria, Obama and the Saudis are in big trouble.
10. #9 Why do you think that it will make any difference
Spyguy ,   Seattle USA   (02.09.12)
when Assad is gone? Whoever replaces Assad will still be close to Iran and will dislike Israel even more than Assad. There is ZERO possibility that whoever replaces Assad will be even close to moderate and willing to tolerate the US and Israel. Whatever the outcome in Syria, the US and Israel lose.
11. See them differently
Sams ,   Nigeria   (02.09.12)
Israel will continue to see the Iranian nuclear program differently because America did not suffer the holocaust but the jews did, because America is not the one Iran intends to wipe off the map but the Jews, because America is not the one surrounded by enemy nations as well as elements of evil and hate in Hizbolla, Hamas and the rest of them but the Jews and America was not the one that was helpless during the WW 2 but the Jews. The truth is NEVER FORGET, NEVER AGAIN. God keep & protect Israel, Amen.

israel israeli ,   tel aviv   (02.09.12)
Israel and US do not have the same interests. If Assad falls, the new regime will be aligned with either the Saudis or with the Brotherhood. This will be blow for Iran that will no longer threaten Israel or American fleet in Mediterranean. For Israel, neither is good, as the Iranian threat will be replaced with the far-worse Saudi threat. For the US, a Saudi puppet regime in Syria will ensure Erdogan's loyalty to the US and align Lebanon with the US. For Putin this means no bases in the Mediterranean and American control of world energy. If the Brotherhood takes over Syria? Nobody knows what that means yet, but a lot depends on Putin.
13. To Whom Do You Trust?!
Taz Man ,   USA   (02.09.12)
I'd be afraid for Israel (for having such foolish leaders) if my trust was in the foolish wisdom of flawed men; but, I'm not, because my faith is in the God of Israel; He niether sleeps nor does He slumber when it concerns to the apple-of-His-eye. All those who come against His true Chosen and His Jerusalem, will be cut-to-pieces! To those who have an ear will hear...to those who don't...will not; and, to their detriment, because they did not believe in the Holy One of Israel. So sad! God bless, Israel and His Jerusalem! A Christian Zionist
14. Hmm...
Jewish Patriot ,   Galut   (02.09.12)
Hmm...I wonder what Obama would do if his neighborhood was full of enemies, and for example Chavez was working on nuclear weapons while threatening America with its entire destruction........would he give time for his "sanctions"? ...
15. Baraks sabre rattling was never serious
zionist forever   (02.09.12)
Baraks talk about the possibility of attacking Iran was just sabre rattling keep the international community focussed on Iran and assure the Israeli public that government isn't afraid to take action. Fact is neither Bibi. Barak or anybody else in Israeli politics today would have the courage to try anything without the green light from the US which Obama won't give it during an election campaign. Just give Obama till Christmas time when the election is out the way and before the next president is sworn in in January and we will all be singing the Christmas song: Rudolf the red nose Tomahawk missile had a little shiny nosecone.
16. To #13 I too fear for Israel because
Rachel ,   US   (02.09.12)
of her foolish leaders but I place my faith in G-d so I know everything will be fine.
17. Is not 3 years of waiting enough?
Ralph Haglund ,   Sweden   (02.09.12)
Obama promised to "solve the Iran problem" when he started, - how much time does he need? He has instead pushed up the decision a million times to really give Iran the chance to develop.
18. Obama is all focus on >>>
AlbertoGA ,   St.George, USA   (02.09.12)
ELECTIONS fears. Now Haverim, what about Israel security, now and in the global area after Hum ? Example . . . The Mullahs are working for long range messiles...and those Toys will not have candies. And this for the ME now and Europe next and why not the US after. Miseria
19. Netanyahu will do the best for ........
David ,   Karmiel, Israel   (02.09.12)
Netanyahu! The country is on strike. The hatred between Jews is growing. Extremists attack our soldiers and racism is increasing. The Prime Minster is to busy to deal with these minor trivialities but goes on a gardening expedition to plant trees on Tu Bi Shvat! The land of Chelm!
20. hitting iran
marcel   (02.09.12)
hitting iran must be a carefully thought out decision. Bibi cannot make it on his own. His makeup is that of a consulter and follower and he frowns on having to take tough positions. His intentions for israel are good but he flinches in the pinch. On the other hand, barak and olmert can take decisions which are not well considered and bloody disasters for israel. So caution and realism are necessary as well as some combat experience or in begin's sitting in soviet prison to harden the mind.Similarly shamir ran guns and sat in prison in africa. Livni and olmert have no meaningful military experience and thus engage in fantasy concession on behalf of israel when they are not the ones fighting on the front lines. No amount of concessions offered by them and encouraged by the US will bring peace.
21. 12
zionist forever   (02.09.12)
Nobody knows who the new regime in Syria will align themselves with until Assad is gone. If there is a civil war then they will be killing each other and probably carrying out terror attacks against Israel to prove they have earned the right to rule. The 500,000 palestinians might align themselves with Hamas. Hezbollah might carry our a coup and take over whilst the military and population are divided, Hezbollah are seen by many as heros. We might get a branch of the MB thats much more hostile towards the west because unlike with Egypt there has never been a peace treaty with Israel, the Assad's have always been anti west whilst Mubarak was an American puppet so there is nothing stopping the MB to sticking to their radical ideals in Syria. I think eventually both Russia and Iran will dump Assad, probably pay off some of Syria's debts because Assad has bankrupted the country so improve their image so Russia can keep its naval base in Tarttus and Iran can keep Syria as an ally so i wouldn't write off the continued alliance with Iran just yet. This is also why I think the best thing for the region would be for Assad to survive.
22. BIBI DON'T TELL OBMA WHEN & WHERE
BEN JABO ,   ISRAEL   (02.09.12)
As soon as you do, either Hillary or Panetta will tell Iran Panetta shot off his mouth last week, informing the world that Israel would attack in April,May or June With allies like this, who needs enemies???
23. Israel must destroy Iran's nukes NOW!
Chaim ,   Israel   (02.09.12)
There is no chance whatsoever the Mad Mullahs will end their quest to build nuclear bombs due to sanction. Sanctions are symbolic and have little practical value. On the other hand, the Mad Mullahs rightly believe they have an enormous amount to gain by building nukes. Israel must destroy Iran's nukes NOW!
24. I Hope Bibi got any "promises" from Obama in writing.
rebecca ,   Modiin   (02.09.12)
25. Obama Convinced
Bonnie ,   US   (02.09.12)
What should be done is: 1- Israel and the U.S. & Iran have a Round Table Discussion to settle differences. THAT"S the priority, because even though Israel publicly intends to do the Samson Route, and snap their fingers under the nose of the non-jews and the world, because the jews don['t care about the rest of the world - BEFORE the "Chosen People" croak - they will suffer terribly.... take a look at the photos of what happened to the Japanese after Hiroshima. That's REALITY. The israeli better have a good long, hard look at what happens in a nuclear war and stop the crap.
