1. Later, people might blame the Arab Spring on the Zionists
Karl ,   Munich DE   (02.10.12)
as a means to divert attention from the Palestinian conflict. Then the basket case 'democracies' of Israel's neighbours will blame Israel for their own failures as well.
2. Jews? Who cares! Americans are fighting the Nazis.
Steven Benassi ,   Silver Bay, MN USA   (02.10.12)
We don't have time to worry about the Jews.
3. I do agree.
Luiz F Haddad ,   Niteroi, Brazil   (02.10.12)
I do agree with the text above. Unhappily, Israel has been the scapegoat for Middle East's problems. But she must defend herself against bad radical and intolerant neighbors. Verily, Arab Palestinians are disregarded by their "brothers", which only remember them in order to harm the Jewish State. When they see it, a secure and honoured peace will be more next.
4. Not Quite Right
Abdel Karim Salim ,   Jerusalem   (02.10.12)
I believe you are confusing and mixing between domestic problems and foreign affairs issues . Almost all countries ( including Israel itself ) have those two types of problems . And while Israel's arab neighhbors of Egypt, Jordan , Syria, and Lebanon have deep domestic problems that often appear to be destroying the fabric of their societies they still , nevertheless, continue to shoulder the mighty-heavy burden of the Palestinian refugees ( millions of them ) who have been residing on their soil for more than sixty years . And for sure those Arab countries, and the rest of the Arabs, firmly believe their societies and economies would fare much better if those refugees were allowed to return home . And the very root of this refugees problem, the Arabs say, is Israel itself . But when you talk about serious domestic problems in the Arab countries all you have to do is just take an insight at the seemingly-deep social problems in Israel itself . There is no need to list in details the not-so-hidden frictions between Ashkenazi , Sephardic, Falasha , Haredi , and liberal Jews in the State of Israel because you already know about them ... !
6. myopic morality
Zivron   (02.10.12)
The Jews post Shoah have a huge obligation to assist all peoples who have the capacity to live in peace with their fellow humankind. The Ten million Palestinians have human rights and those that have the capacity to live in peace with their neighbours can stay.
7. As always and, as expected, another

Sweet Palestinians? They're all muslim you dope. You probably wouldn't know an enemy even if he shot you. The pa wants their soverign country so they can load up on missles too.
9. the sand castles and houses of cards are crumbling,
Yossi   (02.10.12)
Since I agree with Bechor's article, I would say that that it is well written, to the point. The imbeciles, idiots, stupid in this farcical tragedy are not the damned arabs, but the so-called intelligentsia from the West and America -- from Roosevelt to Obama; from Poincare to Sarkozy, the whole of Europe. Without their warped policies, mountains of lies toward the Middle East, millions of lives were wasted. Having created over a billion of illiterate 'zombies',slaves, the leaders of the arab world are now paying the price with the West's support that is shifting from day to day among the hordes of savages they helped create. Their arab spring is turning into an arab nightmare with no end in site. The Assads, Gaddafi,Saddam, Lebanon, hezbollah, ashaal, Abdullah, Haniyeh .et all, the marionettes of civilized EU and US, are now dangling by a single tread, at the whim of non existant gods, created for the occasion - allah the vicious pirate and muhammad the butcher with the usual contingency of delirious islamic mobs; unwilling and incapable of accepting the fact that they have been 'bamboozeled' for a 1400 year ride.

11. Why is it, that every average-gifted person knew this all
tom ,   tel aviv   (02.10.12)
along, but not that useful idiot Yossi Beilin &Shimon and the beautiful TA-crowd? They still don't get it. Doesn't do me much good: it's my collective ass that's on the line!
12. Not so fast
Shalom Freedman ,   Jerusalem Israel   (02.10.12)
Correct. But the Islamists still hate Israel with all they have. The Saudis still focus on Israel in their 'Elders of Zion' propaganda. The theme of hating Israel and wishing its destruction still is the attempted 'unifier'. These attitudes are as strong as ever.
13. Secular MENA,BIG ISRAEL,pronounceable "abjads",CO-OPERATION.

17. Thank you #5
israel israeli ,   tel aviv   (02.10.12)
I am glad they let Karen give her opinion, shared by millions. No need for censorship. The real question is where are the resident Leftists like Saggy, Usishkin and the rest? Have they nothing to say about #5? No Haredim to bash? No calls for civil war?
18. The Boomerang Effect
Cynic #2   (02.10.12)
I would draw Mr. Bechor's attention that the issue of Palestine is not just an Arab issue. The fact that Jerusalem is at the heart of the conflict with Israel means that it concerns 1.3bn Muslims and a likewise number of Christians. The Arab spring is a transitional period of correction and re-adjustment and will surely come back like a boomerang to haunt Israel, especially now that the Islamists are gaining power through a democratic process.
19. The IDF will be Israel's savior.
Jules   (02.10.12)
Israel is surrounded by hundreds of millions of religious schizophrenics.
20. There is a limit
Zivron   (02.10.12)
There is a limit on what ought be published and 5 the neonazi to print it is revolting.
21. What can you do that the West can`t do?
Nora Tel Aviv   (02.10.12)
That is the question to Arabs and fundamentalist Muslems. Their answer is clear: Nothing but destrucion of the Western civilization from the insde by over immigration to the Western democracies.
22. Guy Bechor is so logical that he forgets
Nora Tel Aviv   (02.10.12)
that Arab rulers abhorr western logic. Give them tyranny. That`s all that counts for them.
23. Mistreatment of Palestinian Arabs - response to no. 4
Gila ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (02.10.12)
You forget to mention the fact that the descendants of Palestinian Arab refugees are deliberately refused citizenship and any right to be part of society in the Arab countries in which they live, in order to use them as political pawns in the continued fight - which will never succeed - against the one democratic Jewish state. This is unlike the situation for refugees in any other conflict the world over, including the absorption of nearly a million Jewish refugees forced to leave the Arab countries where their communities had lived for millenia in the late 1940s, more in number and financial losses than those of all the Arab refugees from Israel. You should put the blame fairly and squarely for the continued plight of Palestinian Arabs in Arab countries in the Middle East where it belongs: on their fellow Arabs cynically seeking to exploit them.
24. #4
PaulZion ,   Israel   (02.10.12)
I see your point, but can only say that those countries are to blame for their own predicament. At the same time that the refugees from Palestine camped in those countries, Israel received hundreds of thousands of refugees from Morocco, Yemen, Syria, Iraq, Algeria, Egypt, Tunisia, etc. They too were dispossessed of their wealth and property, which was nationalized by the government. Yet, they were all absorbed into our society, by about 600,000 Jews. Later came 1 million Russians in the space of 10 years and they too were absorbed. Then came the Ethiopians, who were also absorbed. Granted, some were absorbed with more success than others, and yes, there are social problems, but by and large, they all feel they belong and function as members of the society. Conversely, NONE of the Arab countries even TRIED to absorb the Palestinian refugees, whose numbers were more or less similar to those of the Jewish refugees. They CHOSE to leave them in squalid refugee camps and exploit them as a political tool, disregarding their needs and letting them suffer in hunger and destitution. And so it has been for 60 years! Is that how they treat their "brothers"? Where is THEIR sense of humanity? Where is their compassion? Think about how much these people could have contributed to the countries' economies and society, if only they were taken in and allowed to be integrated. Instead they were fed a pipe dream of returning to Palestine, their "paradise lost" after all the Jews were pushed into the sea. Thus, the crisis has been perpetuated by these host countries, never letting the refugees to get on with their lives. Time for these countries to take the blame as well for the plight of the Palestinians.
25. #2 from the stolen Native American state
A ,   Belgium   (02.10.12)
You really ARE out of it! Where are Americans fighting nazis? Maybe you should go hug a moose, you might feel better.
26. The core political state doctrine of all
Chris Rettenmoser ,   Bayerisch Gmain Germ   (02.10.12)
Arab states since the creation of the Jewish state, has been the sick desire to eradicate that state...now this doctrine is fading away and the retarded Arab masses are taking on their corrupt leaders...so Israel may improve it's position in an unprecedented way...
27. To: No. 2
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (02.10.12)
Exactly where are Americans fighting the Nazis? I hadn't realized that the Ku Klux Klan and Nazi Brotherhood (most of whom reside in prison (for life) were that much of a problem. Snicker. Don't worry about the Jews. Keep up your batle with the imprisoned "Nazis," while Israel tackles Iran. Just stay the hell out of our way. On a personal note -- you might want to consider continuing on your anti-psychotic meds. That alone should keep you very, very busy. That would account for the lack of time you have .

Eaglebeak ,   Left Coast, USA   (02.10.12)
For somebody who doesn't have time to worry about the Jews you sure do spend a lot of your time on a Jewish web site. It's hard to take you seriously.
29. Palestine is fictional. Newt Gingrich said it all.
Chaim ,   Israel   (02.10.12)
Nobody really cares about "Palestinians", and that includes their own leaders. Virtually all the aid money sent to "Palestinians" ends up in the Swiss bank accounts of their leaders. It is all a big scam. Palestine is fictional.Newt Gingrich said it all and he deserves great credit for getting the truth into the public forum and refusing to back down.
30. #23
Sam ,   Framingham USA   (02.10.12)
Your comments touch the most sore point of the Israeli - Arab conflict. Arab refugees problem must be resolved the same way as Jewish refugees problem was solved. Otherwise the conflict will ferment the same way as before. And Palestinian should understand it, as well as the rest of the world (which really doesn't care).
