You can't get a more goyish "holiday" than this! It started as the pagan lupercalia, where whipping women got the gods to boost their fertility. Not particularly Jewish. It morphed into a saint's day. Can't get more non-Jewish than that, can you? Pray to some dead guy who will then intervene so you can get lucky with the girls. Ultimately taken over by Hallmark Cards, to boost their ungodly high profits by selling greeting cards. Sorry, I'm not even close to "orthodox". but I'm not going there. Brech!

to lead nonsense disputes what to celebrate on February 14, because Valentine's Day coincides with Bulgarian "Day of Wine". Proposals are invariably: "Love", "Wine" and the consensus "Love of Wine". However let LOVE (the best gift of G-d) be with advantage (and with wine :)

yOUR RABBIS should also warn it is a sin to tell a lie and marriage is a Holy Rite, which is why St Valentine a C200 follower of Yeshua the Jew carried out secret marriage rites in his little chapel the Ruach Kodesh being the uniting spirit in these marriages. Claudius wanted secular immoral liaisons so he could send unmarried men to fight. We know the spiritual covering of a godly marriage of course. St Valentine was imprisoned and given a lecture on the merits of secularism. Before he was executed he healed the sight of his jailers daughter and was despatched to Glory to be with His Saviour forever and ever as promised. Challenge:Bet you dont have the courage of your convictions to publish this true story!
