PETER SM ,   AUSTRALIA   (02.22.12)
of the mandate to the "Palestinians". Strange how the Arabs only want to "liberate" the tiny fraction that is Israel
7. #4 SAID IT THE BEST
Iranian Jew ,   Los Angeles   (02.22.12)
This guy should call himself the king of Palestinians. He is ruling over 80% of them by force. The funny thing is that they are too spineless to go after him. They just blame the Jews for all of their problems. Someone should also tell them that the word Palestine is not even Arabic. I am not sure they know that.
8. These are no more leaders of the Jews
jason white ,   afula,israel   (02.22.12)

9. The King have trouble reading what"moderate"PA say inArabic?
PETER SM ,   AUSTRALIA   (02.22.12)
It would help if Abbas turned up to negotiate instead of looking for excuses. The reality is Abbas knows full well he can't deliver, especially with Hamas.
10. Abdullah just forgot
daniela ,   panama, panama   (02.22.12)
his history class.... in which ¨his kingdom¨was supposed to be the land of the palestinians..He also forgot why his father King Hussein had to trow the palestinans out in sept. 1970. Maybe, if he goes back to his history, and family books he will learn the following: 1- that he shouldn´t be king because he is sitting in palestinian land and he doe not represent the palestinians. 2- How difficult it was for his father to have the palestinians living among his kingdom and the reason he had to tro them out. By the way enlarging the ¨refugees problem¨. after he learns about that probably he will not blame Israel for anything.

12. "BIG" Jerry is so willing to give away that which is not his
Bunnie Meyer ,   Los Angeles, CA USA   (02.22.12)
Not being a Jew, Israel is not his birthright so he doesn't care if arabs get it or Eskimos get it, he just wants a compromise. OK, in a compromise, move half of the so-called palestinians to the netherlands and make sure that some of them occupy half of Jerrry's house, he must have too much room.
13. king or jordan

18. the real change will come when the arab spring reaches him
zionist forever   (02.22.12)
If Abdullah is toppled it will most probably come from the palestinian sector who make up around 80% of the population, many do not have citizenship & in recent years Abdullah has been stripping the ones that do of their citizenship to avoid the Jordan is Palestine solution. If he is toppled by the palestinian majority how will that affect the so called peace process? At that stage there could be no denying Jordan was a palestinian state as the Heshimite rulers would be gone and if Jordan did become a palestinian state would there be a reason to create a second especially one thats not even viable? If we did create a second it would eventually merge with Jordan again just like it was before 1967 rather than stay independent. Now all we have to do is wait for the arab spring to reach Jordan before some idiot on Israel's left agrees to give away everything for nothing.
19. Abdullah sais......
tiki ,   belgium   (02.22.12)
Who cares what the little King sais. Nobody expected him to change something or say anything else. As the wonderfull 'Arab Spring' is spreading like wildfire, Abdullah is shaking on his throne & his celebrity wife is nowhere to be seen anymore. The King & Queen of Palestine are praying that their citizens won't come knocking on their palace door.
20. Jordan's King
The Observer ,   Athens, Greece   (02.22.12)
Jordan monarchy, self created in 1925, supported by the British, confiscated 70% of the mandate territories "Palestine" or Eretz-Israel. This land, called Gilad in the Bible, is Hebrew land. Which right has the "king of Jordan" to tell Israel what to give to his Arab brothers?
21. Really, what did you expect him to say?
Harrybaby ,   Canada   (02.22.12)
22. Mr. King, I HAVE A QUESTION
Iranian Jew ,   Los Angeles   (02.22.12)
Didn't your beloved father killed over 10,000 Arafat fighters and then kicked him the hell out? How do Arabs forget all of these things? Your entire kingdom is a handover from the original trouble makers, the English. Arabs, grow some balls and give Jordan, the real Palestine, to the so called Arabs that migrated from Suadi Arabia (so called Palestinian). The whole idea is ridiculous, but maybe this way they will leave us alone.
23. King Abdullah is a friend of Israel
David ,   Shiloh Israel   (02.22.12)
The king and his family have loyally stuck by Israel over many decades, including warning us of Arab intentions before the Yom Kippur War. His forces has also prevented terrorist infiltration across the River Jordan. As a settler, I'm naturally against his 'public' position that would uproot our homes in our Jewish homeland. However, I think that there is more to this man than meets the eye. He is being manipulated by so called Palestinians into remaining as King of Jordan, to enhance the Palestinian claim that Jordan is not Palestine, therefore our homes in Judea & Shomron are. This king has much to lose through having a hostile Palestian entity on his western border, and we have even more to lose through having a hostile Palestinian Jordan on our eastern front. It's natural that he has to make public declarations to survive potential attacks. Our worst enemies are liberal & leftish Jews that would drop this king without blinking for a second, and would also destroy our beloved Israel, just to endorse their misguided sense of reality. King Abdullah is a tried friend of Israel and this comes from someone who does not support his public diatribe against our settlements, but knows how to read between the lines.
24. Abdullah, you are a bad liar
Yael Schlichting ,   Raubling Germany   (02.22.12)
Just leave the business of distorting the truth to Abbu Mazen!
25. #23 King Abdullah is a friend
Iranian Jew ,   Los Angeles   (02.22.12)
Just because he is protecting his own crown. this conflict must end for all and not just for the Ersatz. They need to have real land to survive. WB is not the answer. They need to unit with the rest of the Jordanians. We can't keep on doing this because he is a friend. We can give a nice villa in Eilat if he wants to relocate.
26. #1 - regardless where you put Israel's borders ...
spyguy ,   Seattle USA   (02.22.12)
they will ALWAYS be "suicide borders" unless your neighbors are happy with you. With modern missiles, all of Israel can become a rubble pile because the 100,000+ missiles that the IDF says are pointed at Israel will do a lot of damage no matter where the Israel borders are. Warfare has changed and your thinking is completely out of date.
27. #23 Point taken but it's not so simple
David ,   Shiloh Israel   (02.22.12)
We in Israel are currently in a position where we can and should exercise some degree of control over matters that concern our own well being. Realistically, we are not even close to being in a position of repatriation of 'WB' Arabs to Jordan, although Hotvely's plans of offering them dual citizenship for Jordan & Israel, came close to that. In my humble opinion, the question aught to be how many hostile entities do we want to knowingly contribute towards? The Jordanian king is not a hostile threat to us, although some of his announced plans could become so. Replacing the king with a radical Islamic regime, which could also be expedited through overwhelming Jordan with more so called 'Palestinians' could be considered hostile for both Israel & present day Jordan. Giving autonomy to a new PA state, dedicated to our destruction is also a major threat, and will also be to Jordan's western border. I'm personally in favour of maintaining the status quo, while including help in improving the economy and general human rights of local Arabs that can demonstrate an ability to reciprocate to such moves. We've enjoyed 'relative' calm & peace in Judea & Shomron, which is desirable for all sane people. The trouble is that too many outsiders are trying to force unworkable solutions upon us. Given the opportunity for both local Arabs and yes...Jewish settlers to work out some basic understanding between ourselves, we could probably do much better than all attempts by the rest of the world put together! Shalom.
28. #12 I'm jewish. Somehow you misread "BIG" and COMPROMISE.
