un security council resolution 1701 called for the disarming of all militias in lebanon. how come neither unifil, nor the laf have carried out this crucial bit of the agreement to end the hezbollah war?

Having close friends that are Lebanese Christians, they do not feel the same way. If anything, they haeve been displaced by Hezbollah and their thugs. They have turned what once was Christian villages into a terrorist base. If having your country taken over by terrorists gives you honor, then, please join them. The last two times Hezbollah attacked IDF soldiers on Israel's northern border, the soldiers were on Israel's side of the border and Hezbollah was cited for provocation. Hezbollah did this because Iran pays them to do it. Turning Lebanon into a parking lot in 2006 for no reason was a poor example of defending Lebanon.

whether it's the mullahcracy in tehran, or the dictator of damascus, lebanon is being used to distract israel from the real problems. it's just sad to see the lebanese people used in this way, and it'll be even sadder if a shooting war breaks out, because a lot of innocent people could get hurt. strategically, israel would be smarter to increase civil defence measures in border communities, and plan to ride out the initial attacks on her civilians, in the event of a war, allowing the idf to concentrate on "high-value" military objectives.

Im sorry to read from you Sir, a Christian lebenese that thinks that Hezbollah gave Lebanon a great honor and dignity. You forget that as a crhistian you are also on the line. I do not know how old are you, but I´ve met rpetty much christian lebanese people that emigrated from Lebanon because they felt that Lebanon is not anymore the country in which they were born. When Christian and moslem shared power and cooperated between both communities.. And you think Lebanon is yours???? Lebaninn has been hijacked by Hezbollah and the palestinians.
