9. Proving BDS is a big lie
DavidM ,   USA   (02.28.12)
The ambassador's appointment is even more proof that the BDS movement is based on a lie. This week Harvard University will host another of these meetings where the term apartheid will be used non stop. Perhaps Harvard's administrators may want to rethink their decision to host the BDS meeting now that it is a proven lie.

NYC Girl   (02.29.12)
While this is certainly wonderful news, the truth is there's a lot of good news in Israel. The problem is that it doesn't fit the agenda of a certain segment of the media and therefore doesn't get reported. Hopefully, the news of the appointment of Amb. Zevadia won't meet the same fate.
14. Finally some good news
Michael ,   West Jerusalem/NY   (02.29.12)
15. Ethiopian Israelis are the best!
ronen ,   Cape Town   (02.29.12)
Such awesome & kind people. In South Africa we have what is called Affirmative action, in business its called BEE (Black Economic Empowerment). Even though the current Israeli ambassador is doing a great job here (SA) - I think that the next ambassador should be an Israeli of Ethiopian origin or an Arab Israeli. The white population of South Africa is mostly pro-Israel, however many of the uneducated blacks are taught to hate Israel because of the lie of Apartheid in Israel harassed to them over and over by the ANC & Unions. I believe it is of great importance to either send an Israeli of Ethiopian origin or an Arab Israeli to represent Israel - this will completely crush the BDS and other racist organisations. It’s the right move - please do it. South Africa might be democratic today - but it is divided on racial lines and Israel should use this knowledge to the best of its capabilities in showing South Africa that Israel is a beautiful democratic and free country.

Yosef   (02.29.12)
of Jews of Ethiopian background and other Israeli Jews....including my sister and my brother-in-law and nieces and nephews-so don't give us your "I think not" because you're not capable of thought. The only concern of my parents in having a son-in-law whose family immigrated from Ethiopia was that he be a religious, observant Jew and be a patriotic Israeli and serve in the army and he met both criteria. Can you say ignorant know-nothing? Well, don't say it, just look in the mirror. "TATA" yourself

26. @20 good that G-d doesn't judge on externals like you do!
me ,   here   (02.29.12)
As I am limited but able to understand that G-d sees the heart of each one of His creations. This view of G-d's as I understand it also extends to government officials, diplomats and even right wing "tag machir" types. I think its good that G-d isn't as petty as you!
