4. To: No. 2
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (02.29.12)
It's our country, idiot. Any frequencies Israel uses are therefore authorized. Duh!
5. Aircraft frequencies are internationally set.
Ivan ,   South Africa   (02.29.12)
between a certain MHz.therefor anybody operating a radio or tv station on these frequencies would be illegal any where in the world..and should be prosecuted..
6. For Those Who Have No Clue About Frequency
Ibro ,   Jerusalem   (02.29.12)
First of all, civil air-flights operates on 120 MHZ, the TV station operates on 500 MHZ and above. This is pure politics and have nothing to do with the frequency. Try to find a better reasoning for the raid and breeching Oslo Accords bros. Next time we should say it is hosting a terror motivating shows and we should bomb it, but to get a reasoning such as frequency it is funny, and all those who knows about the frequency knows that this is not the issue.
7. Tin foil hats come in kippa size, too
antisemite ,   you know   (02.29.12)

8. GOOD!!!
Bad Assed Jew ,   United States   (02.29.12)
They tried to endanger passengers of the airport, glad they nailed them
9. PA top brass never seem to be hard up financially
zionist forever   (02.29.12)
Virtually everybody in the PA top brass seems to be owners, part owners or have some kind of financial interest in the big companies and non of them ever seem to be short of a few million dollars even when they are begging the world for more money. I wonder how the palestinian streets would react if it was pointed out to them how all their political leaders are all millionaires while so many of them live on the poverty line even when the international community donates billions. If this tv channel was using unauthorized frequencies which posed a threat to Ben Gurion airport then its a threat to security just as much as a suicide bomber is and the IDF did exactly the right thing raiding this station.
10. Not the whole truth
Dan ,   Norway   (02.29.12)
You can be mistaken. Air flights can operate on many different frequencies
11. To: No. 10
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (02.29.12)
Do you seriously mean to suggest that an entire air traffic control system and pilots entering or departing Israeli air space should be moved to a different frequency purely in order to accommodate a pirate TV station in Ramallah that has no legal right to use a particular frequency? Are you truly that insane? Were the Sami people to illegally pirate a Norwegian communications frequency that is reserved for the exclusive use of Norwegian air traffic controllers and aircraft entering or departing -- or merely transiting -- Norwegian air space, well, of course you'd force all those air traffic controllers and aircraft to switch frequencies, is that what you're suggesting?
12. Israeli news on this subject lacking
Gary Vanderlinden ,   Mountain View, USA   (02.29.12)
I saw this story on Yahoo News and looked and found the Israeli sources lacking. I looked on Haaretz, Jerusalem Post and Ynetnews. Jerusalem Post and Ynetnews stories identified one station in their article. I couldn't find an article on Haaretz. Yahoo and Al Jazeera stories identified two stations: The two stations affected were Watan Television, a local private station, and Quds Educational Television, affiliated with the Palestinian Al-Quds University. Yahoo story included: The Palestinian telecommunications minister Mashour Abu Daqqa questioned why this wasn't discussed at a Israel-Palestinian coordination committee stating problems regarding frequencies are discussed all the time. Daqqa said the stations were both registered with the International Broadcasting Union and broadcast on legal frequencies. Moammer Orabi, Watan's director general, said "we have a license from them" referring to Israel.
