This writer and the politician who fed him nonsense, are projecting their wishful thinking upon the readers of Ynet, wishful thinking and nothing more. Iran has a lot of gold reserves which are in the control of the ayatollahs, they can survive for a long time just on their reserves. Other countries, especially China, will continue to buy oil from Iran under the table. They are already building an overland pipeline to avoid having to ship oil via waterways. And like all dictatorships, Iran is prepared to starve its people for years, while it continues to spend a huge percentage of its resources on its military. Look at North Korea, which is NOT giving up anything, merely agreeing to talks but forcing the USA to pay for talks in food, prior to sitting down. Fidel Castro has had to crush a starving population since the Russians pulled out in the early 90s. Fidel and Raoul are still running things 21 years later. Starving the common man means nothing to a dictatorhship. Sanctions are a joke and Obama knows it, and any Israeli politician who goes along with this is either delusional or a liar. Or both.
