Grace ,   USA   (03.05.12)
If they were really concerned for this boy, they would recognize that he needs a father. My heart is just sickened with this twisting and attempting to justify how to change the traditional family. This boy will have no idea what it takes to be a man, a real man. Much like the 5 year old boy in the US who thinks he is a girl because he has two "mothers" and no father. It is destructive and shameful, just shameful.
5. MAZAL TOV! Happy 4 u! troubled by last paragraph....
Hetero granny ,   Israel   (03.05.12)
does that mean the ruling is only for Lesbian couples? or does that last paragraph mean that no woman will be allowed to transfer eggs?

Don't be sorry for the kid, but wish him that his parents have good quality of the heart.
7. Way to go girls!
Georges Bruno ,   EU/US   (03.05.12)
Good lawyer, decent judge. No doubt this baby will have all the world and the care of the world and will turn out to be a good Jew despite the naysayers. Gender orientation has nothing to do with good parenting.
8. The Tora protects us from...
ORA ,   JERUSALEM   (03.05.12)

Yeah, especially deviations like having and open mind and tolerating and understanding different people.
10. 9 Eugene Mind large open..

Homosexuality is not a deviation, but a sexual orientation... and it is not contagious... The child will follow his own orientation. The only thing who is important is that these mothers have to make sure that their kid have to be in contact with decent men of their families.
12. Honor your father and mother, of the Ten Commandments, Torah
Ernest   (03.05.12)
In these medical advancements that started off trying to help couples that were unable to conceive children in the framework of a family, the extremes that have taken place, like this one, are selfishly motivated and don't realistically consider the welfare of the child. A five year old boy hasn't even begun to fully realize life to make a rational comment on this and how this arrangement is going to be perceived by his peers and others. Of course, the boy is innocent. But to put him, or any other child, through this wouldn't be considerate of him. Even if it were only the chance of making him feel uneasy because it's so unusual, even by Torah standards, it could just as well be considered cruel and unusual treatment and not looking out for the welfare of the child. Allowing this from the beginning with members of the same sex was the first mistake. This doesn't live up to anything of the standard of what would be considered of the TANAKH or anything that would follow. These ways are devious, dangerous and an abomination.
13. It will be a bit traumatizing for the kid...
Malone ,   Hfx   (03.06.12)
....when he introduces his school chum to his "Mom and Dad"..and they're both wearing bras. No concern for the childs welfare at all. I have nothing agains gays, just leave the kids out of it.
