1. May I be the first in line...
Robert ,   New Jersey, USA   (03.05.12)
...to offer contributions in cash to resettle all willing 'Palestinians' to Jordan? Those who choose to remain in Greater Israel (inclusive of Judea and Samaria), will have to take a written oath acknowledging Israel's right to exist and behave as model citizens or be repatriated to the Republic of Palestine forcefully. The first act of treason or subversion against Israel and they are out! The same for Gaza. Shoot off a Qassam and you are given a one-way ticket to Egypt or death...your choice! After a period in which Gaza residents are offered generous stipends for Egyptian repatriation, annex this God-forsaken wasteland, too!
2. wrong&maive!
oded ,   usa   (03.05.12)
it is not about territory, or land. it is about the basic recognition of the arabs of the jews' right to this land of israel. as long as the arabs vehemently reject the notion of a jewish entity in their midst, no formula would work.......... unless....

Greater Israel includes Jordan gad , Reuven, Manassee
4. Promise
Carl van Zijll de Jo ,   Lincoln, NZ   (03.05.12)
It is not about what people dream up that will settle the matter; it is what the God of Israel has promised to the people of Israel that will settle the matter. If we all acknowledge His Creatorship and His promises we would all be able to snuggle up as birds of a feather flocking together honouring each other’s identity. For your information Google “The World Monetary Order”.
5. Why not one-state solution?
Al-Raed Abdel-Haq ,   Jerusalem   (03.05.12)
This is unjust solution and not realistic at all.. because what will you do with the Palestinians? Will you send them all to Jordan? Will they accept? Will Jordan accept? No at all. Since the two-state solution in not possible also because of all the settlements inside the west bank.. Therefore, the best solution is the one-state solution: One democratic state over all Palestine, all Israel and all the Holy Land and why not also all Jordan if they accept, where all Palestinians and Israelis and also Jordanians would live together in peace and equality.. this is the best solution because this land is the MOTHER of all and it is a geographical, historical and demographical unity that you cannot divide in pieces. So it will be one state for two peoples (or three peoples) three religions.. Isn't it better?
6. You aren't innovative
Someone ,   Somewhere   (03.05.12)
You can call your plan "innovative" and "ground-breaking" all you like, but it is still the tired old "Jordan as Palestine" model. The one rejected by Jordan, Palestine, and the world long ago. The only twist you have added is sending the Palestinian refugees in Lebanon to Jordan, making the likelihood of anyone accepting the plan even smaller. The only question I have is whether the author is trying to make a bad joke, or is honestly deluded enough to think this idea is in any way plausible.
7. 3 problems
Jonathan ,   MN/US   (03.05.12)
#1 what exactly makes you think that the Palestinians will leave if you pay them? #2 if you annex the west bank and Gaza you also annex the Palestinians #3 what makes you think that Jordan, Egypt, and Lebenon will let the palestinians in?
8. To: No. 5
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (03.05.12)
A one-state solution is not possible. The ersatz "Palestinians" have a seven decade history of violence and terror. We really don't want you in our midst; you've damaged our lives enough already. Israel will annex Judea and Samaria, and repatriate its Arab residents to Jordan, country of their citizenship. Since the majority of the population of Jordan is already ersatz "Palestinian," you can depose the monarch (he's a British-born Iraqi and his wife is Kuwaiti), and assume your place among the nations. You can call the country anything you want. That's really the most pragmatic option. We really don't think that you people would make good citizens of the Jewish state and, as I pointed out, you've done nothing but prove it over and over for seven decades.
9. TO NR. 5.
SJOERD RUURD ,   PLANET EARTH   (03.05.12)
YOUR TALKBACK IS CORRECT AT MY OPINION, IF EVERY PEOPLE INVOLVED, WANT SUCH A SOLUTION, WITHOUT OR WITH SUCH AN INSTITUTION AS THE ENTIRE UNITED NATIONS ORGANIZATION...
10. Jordan & Lebanon will never accept to merge into "One State"
Serge ,   Montreal, Canada   (03.05.12)
It is simply unrealistic to expect a "One State" solution. Jordan and Lebanon will never accept to merge with Israel into a single state. Indeed, if that were the proposal, why would Syria not merge as well, as it is culturally very close to Lebanon? And what would this country be called -- the Levantine Federation? Bilad a-Shams?
11. What a creative way to committ the same crime
JM ,   London   (03.05.12)
So let me get this straight ... Israel makes NO concessions, the Jordanians have to give up part of their country and then all the Palestinians have to move for their rightful homeland to Jordan. So what compromise is Israel making exactly? Is this just salt wrapped in honey so that you can get your way? How about all the Jews leave Palestine where they shouldn't have been in the first place. How about all the non-Jewish Russians (half the Russian population) who came to Israel go back to Russia. And the settlers who are a bunch of nutcase religious fanatics can go to hell. How about that for a solution? No? Wait for it, it's coming.

some handsome Israeli guys should live in Palestine with me ;)
15. Funny!
Ziad-Palestine ,   Canada   (03.05.12)
Well, this article is kind of comedy show! This proposal is impossible, we need our state on our own land, on our holy land.
16. 3 State Solution
Vernon Kuhns ,   South El Monte, Cali   (03.05.12)
Why do so many people blindly ignore that it is not the how much land each side gets that is the real issue?? The real issue is that Islam will NEVER accept a Jewish state in the Middle East. Until you start to deal with THAT you are simply wasting everyone's time!!!!!
17. We were here and we will remmain here for ever
Al-Raed Abdel-Haq ,   Jerusalem   (03.05.12)
To all those who suggest that the Palestinians go to Jordan, I would like to tell them clearly that we were here since 2000 years and we will remain here for every, they dream if they think that we would accept to move from here to Jordan... I will add and even advice the Israelis to accept my previous 0ne-state solution before it will be too late for them.. it is better to surround yourselves with friends than with enemies.. We are ready to be good friends and good neighbors and to live together otherwise will will continue to fight each others for ever and this is impossible.
18. the truth, but.......
tiki ,   belgium   (03.05.12)
This solution is a solution if you're dealing with people who 'want a solution. Arabs don't want a solution, they want the demise of Israel & it's citizens as food for the Meditaranian fish.
19. Same old "Jordan is Palestine BS"

20. 15-Funny
Tom ,   Toronto   (03.05.12)
You never had and never will have a Country at this point in history. Only chance to have a Country is to accept a Jewish Israel. And decide to live in peace . No more homicide bombers no more hate taught in your " schools" . The possibility of that happening is Funny. Sad really.
21. To: No. 15
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (03.05.12)
Funnily enough, you didn't have a so-called "holy land" until following the Six Day War, when Israel acquired the Golan Heights, the West Bank and Gaza / Sinai in the course of fighting a defensive war against Syria, Jordan and Egypt, respectively. You were all content to be citizens of Syria, Jordan and Egypt. So your words ring false, to say the least, and it never has been, isn't now, and never will be your land. Get used to the concept; it will never change. You are a vanquished people and unrepentant, violent terrorists. You've had your bites at the apple, and you're all out of chances. On the bright side, you have only yourselves to blame.
22. 10000000% spot on....
hippocrates ,   earth   (03.05.12)
23. The real solution: Pay Arabs to leave our land.
Chaim ,   Israel   (03.05.12)
There will never be peace between Israel and "Palestinian" poseurs. There has never been a state of Palestine and never will be. It is simply a fiction designed to justify the destruction of Israel. There is only one real solution. Soundly defeat "Palestinians" militariy. Than pay Arabs fair compensation to leave our land. Energy revenues from Israel's increasing gas finds will greatly facilitate this. For Israel, paying Arabs to leave is a one time investment with permanent returns.
24. Bravo, at last
Ber Lazarus ,   Montreal, Canada   (03.05.12)
a sane voice in the bloody wilderness! Yes, Jordan is Palestine just as it was established in the (betrayed) British slicing of the Ottoman Empire. let's get back to the original division and let's get on with our lives. Oh, yeah. Just One big problem. They're going to have to accept the Jews on "Arab" land. And I don't see them swallowing that lump of coal any time soon. No Jewish State, ergo No Palestine. Simple as that.

Israel is the homeland of the Jews, and were here to stay regardless of whether Jewhaters like you like it or not.
29. UN Resolutions and ICJ Ruling
Ant ,   LONDON, UK   (03.05.12)
It is important to respect the legitimate rights of Israel and Palestine. Denying the existence of either nation should be condemned. I also believe that there is a desire by most people in the world to see a full and comprehensive peace in the Middle East but this vision has not been helped by Israel’s current Prime Minister Mr Netanyahu, who continues to build settlements in the Occupied Palestinian Territories. To put the conflict into context with respect to international law and the feelings of the world, may I convey the following. Last November, there were a further 6 UN Resolutions on Palestine and the Middle East. One resolution on Jerusalem was supported by 166 nations plus the UK. Israel disagreed. In fact, there are over 150 UN Resolutions (including 181, 191 and 194) – all remain unimplemented in full. Furthermore the ruling of the International Court of Justice in the Hague pertaining to the ‘security barrier’, which is 3 times the length of the Berlin Wall, has been sadly ignored by Mr Netanyahu. Perhaps if the ‘security barrier’ had to be built at all, it would have been better to have constructed it on the 1967 borders – instead of inside the internationally recognised Palestinian Territories (including East Jerusalem). Nonetheless once this ‘separation barrier’ and the settlement enterprise is completed, Palestinian communities will be separated into pockets of territory that lack contiguity, surrounded by settlements only accessible by settler only roads. ‘Natural growth’ settlements too were not acceptable as part of Phase I of the internationally agreed Road Map (2003). Day by day, the ‘security barrier’ and settlements erode the possibility of a two-state solution and the viability to bring about a fully comprehensive peace for Israelis and Palestinians. There are 130 nations in the world that recognise Palestine including India, China, Russia, Malaysia, Indonesia and Brazil. More recently Iceland and Thailand have added to that recognition. Lastly UNESCO’s recognition last year of Palestine (supported by France, Spain, Ireland and Norway amongst many European nations) was still a positive step forward and a counter balance to those who deny Israel or Palestine’s right to exist. Dignity and peace is paramount for both peoples and recognition of both states ensures that those in the rejection camps are marginalized even further.
30. #17 - I'm not sure you're allowed to invent history
Serge ,   Montreal, Canada   (03.05.12)
Clearly Palestinians' ancestors were not in the Levant "forever". Even your native language is imported from the Arabian peninsula. You are welcome to live in the region, and it is good that having been here for a few generations you are very attached to it. But it is better not to invent history.
