31. You make me laugh
jimi ,   palestine   (03.05.12)
How easy for you to plan others life, just to keep yourself satisfied and in peace. There is a better solution...evry one leaves to his homeland with his kids and thats it. Palestinians are and were here since god created earth... its better that you accpet the 1967 offer and live in peace.. A final question is : do u think that when you expell palestinians to jordan they will forget their homeland and leave you in peace....sooooooooo sillllllllyyyyyyyy
32. this guy taught in a University?
Ami ,   Ramat Gan, Israel   (03.05.12)
There is nothing new about this idea. "Send the Palestinians to a place they dont want to be and that will bring peace". The far right has been saying it for years. How will forced transfer bring peace? Not that negotiating will bring peace either. The only solution (and this will never happen) is for both sides to drop their antiquated religious beliefs and move into the 21st century.
33. Unbelievable...!
Ben Alofs ,   Bangor, UK   (03.05.12)
Before 1948 no Palestinian Arab lived across the Jordan river, in Lebanon, in Syria or elsewhere. They ALL lived in Palestine. The Palestinians who ended up in Jordan or Lebanon, did so because they were disposessed from their home and property in Palestine in 1948/49 and again in 1967. And now an arrogant representative of the immigrant settler state of Israel has the impertinence to tell the indigenous people of Palestine that they should leave for Jordan! If the Palestinians from Lebanon or Jordan will move anywhere it is home to Palestine to exercise their basic human right, the right to return in accordance with UNGAR 194. Mordechai Nisan, dream on! The reality taking shape in front of your eyes is the de facto one state solution. That, Mr Nisan, is the reality you will have to learn to live with. The insatiable Zionist greed for Palestinian land will be the undoing of political Zionism.

37. the three lies solution
sa3ad ,   s.a.   (03.05.12)
First let's make deference between a Jew (religion, someone who converted to Judaism) this one has nothing with Palestine or his ancestors. Second Jews descendant from Ibrahim called "sons or children of Israel" (Israel is Jacob) May Allah grant peace and honor to him and his family This second group of Jews was just a one people of many they lived here and some still, so they have the right to be here with and part of others, not killing others, not ruling others not confiscating others land, not torturing others , not demolishing others homes , stealing their past and their future SO , don’t make a new history for this region
38. The blank state
Latter-Day Prophet ,   snow-capped summit   (03.05.12)
…and no, it wouldn't be another illegitimate state, as they see it, since it would be, not an official Jewish state, but a temporary, neutral state to lodge them as they wait for the aforementioned arrival, and in order to make this clear they'd have to adopt a national banner that would be entirely white, to synbolize the blankness of their state. This would avoid their ambiguous status: that of citizens residing in an unlawful territory.
39. #15 It was never a Holy land for Muslims
Maurice ,   Los Angeles, USA   (03.06.12)
Palestinians can claim that the land is holy to them all they want but it is totally false. The Koran does not even mention Jerusalem. Look at what they are doing to the Temple mount, they play football games, trash the place and turn their back on Jerusalem when praying to Mecca. The truth is they have zero claim religious or otherwise. The only solution is for them to leave. Israel is simply too small both people.
40. BRAVO! Israel must ban the false term of 2-STATE.
BUTSeriously ,   Australia   (03.06.12)
Shame on those who use the false term of 2-state for what is a deathly 3-state demand. They are too ashamed to confront their serial 2-state demands made on the tiny Jewish state, and many Jews have also fallen for this trap. Israel must make the premise of the false 2-state term banned by its media and Ministers - just as is done with H-denial, because serial 2-states in the same land = Genocide. Remember this atrocity: "It will be a historic compromise to grant two states in Palestine - one for the Jews and one for the Arabs" - A cigar chomping Churchill.
41. 3-state solution
Dik ,   Spijkenisse, Holland   (03.06.12)
is impossible to achieve. The case has to deal with religion, as the God of Israel, also my God, is bringing back the Jews to their ancestors homeland, according the prophets. The Islamic Arabs will never acknowledge this fact because they believe that Islam is the only true religion, superior to any other religion. Shalom from Holland
42. Not sure at all what I just read.
Gedalyah ,   Jerusalem   (03.06.12)
I didn't catch what he was actually proposing. All I read were some honorable mentions of Lebanon. I don't get it. He just recommended making Jordan the Palestinian state, right? What did he say about Lebanon?
43. Mordechai Are you Nuts?
Someone ,   Somewhere   (03.05.12)
How can someone who teaches Middle Eastern Studies be so out of touch with the narrative and desires of the Palestinians? This is in line with a crack pot theory that has no chance in hell of amounting to anything other than a fantasy
44. Response to Ben Alofs...
An acquaintance   (03.06.12)
Ben, the so-called "Palestinians" are no more indigenous to the land of Israel, Eretz Yisrael [Mandate Palestine] than you being a Dutch from the Netherlands residing in Wales for a while now. That's it. a perfect excellent analogy. Perhaps this intimate familiarity - and of course, ideological hostility to the very cause of a Jewish nation-state, born out by what exactly? - makes you such a big supporter of the Pals. also, you are old I think based on what you told before (a pensioner).
45. Peace ONLY via BALANCE, balance ONLY via SECURE BIG ISRAEL.
Jerry ,   The Netherlands   (03.06.12)
46. State Of Judea!
Rabbi Chaim Shapiro ,   Ariel, Judea   (03.06.12)
It will be 4 states. Arabs from Judea Samaria & Gaza relocate to Jordan & Egypt!
47. You finally admit that the current Israel is an ethnocracy?
Avi ,   Israel   (03.06.12)
It's not the same as democracy. Sorry to tell you.
48. Mix the Masses
ZivronNetanyahu   (03.06.12)
The Jewish ideal has been universal Tikun olam and the Arabs that have the capacity to live in peace with Jews it is better they stay under equality and peace.
49. One state is Islam-speak for Israel's destruction.
BUTSeriously ,   Australia   (03.06.12)
If a one-state is applicable, then Jordan must be ousted and Palestine becomes Jewishstine. Get it, smarty?
50. #15. Your "holy land" is Mecca. So go there.
Chaim ,   Israel   (03.06.12)
#15. Funny. Israel, including Judea and Samaria, so obviously belongs to Jews that even the P.A. won't debate the issue. That is why the P.A. cowardly refused MK Danny Ayalon's challenge to publicly debate the issue. Ziad, you "holy land" is Mecca. So go there.

Hey friend, it is not a claim, it is the heart of reality, this is place is holy for Muslims. Read about that. God bless you
53. This is a great plan!
Harmen ,   Leiden, Netherlands   (03.06.12)
Sir, May I congratulate you with coming up with a great plan. Forcibly removing all Palestinians to Jordan is the correct solution. Sure, it is a bit harsh and some people would call it ethnic cleansing, but hey, it's our land. Others would call it the right of the strongest, but hey, it's our land. And you know, some would even say that they were born in the West Bank, that their fathers, grandfathers and generations before that lived there, so why should they move? But hey, it's our land. And even, some very silly people believe that what goes around comes around, that you would create more pain, more hatred, more retribution. But hey, it's our land. And the weirdest people of all come up with something called the golden rule (people like Rabbi Hillel): "Do not do to others, what you do not want done to yourself." Of course, that's just a silly philosophy, because hey, it's our land. Good plan sir, smart thinking!
54. "Peace process"
Mark ,   USA   (03.06.12)
While I agree that Jordan is indeed Palestine and it would be a neat and tidy solution to have everything solved under this plan, there are many problems, including: 1. No one will accept repatriation, save the Israelis. 2. Muslims will never accept a Jewish state anywhere in their midst, no matter how small. The truth is that Israel needs to do what she feels in in their best interest, in order to safeguard Israel as a Jewish state, and remain strong forever.
55. Jordan is Palestine and Palestine is Jordan

57. To#8's response to #5
David ,   Shiloh Israel   (03.06.12)
Sarah, your often sterling ideological and witty comments sometimes gets let down through a basic lack of local experience & knowledge. Al-Raed probably speaks for many Arabs living around Jerusalem, who prefer to live in peace and without a PA gangster movement threatening their lives. This article's proposal probably, along with similiar views, tends to threaten their security here. As a right wing Jewish settler, actually living on the land, I would willingly endorse a plan that removes those who willfully plan our destruction. On the other hand, I would also embrace an understanding that allows people of good will an assurance of a continued existense on our precious land based on fair human rights, without compromising our security needs. Sarah, I think you might find that Al-Raed and many like him might secretly agree? We don't need to antagonize our friends, and we do have them!
58. The problem is religion and not land.
Michael Redbourn ,   a   (03.06.12)
The PA have been offered over 90% of the West Bank on at least three occasions and refused it. Why? They don't want Jews in the Middle East. Right now Israel and Jordan are at peace, but they wouldn't be once Palestians ruled Jordan.
59. Three states
Nabil ,   Palestine   (03.06.12)
The gainers of this plan are the Israelis because they had nothing before 1947. The Hashemite will loss nothing because it was not theirs anyway. The Palestinians will gain some relief after 60 plus years of accupation and humiliation. The Plan will bring some balance of power between the three religions in the region. Its a good plan.
60. Not a good idea
Rachel ,   Be'ersheva, Israel   (03.06.12)
Gaza is already a fait accompli and if the Palestinians control Jordan, than Jordan will become an enemy state. Besides, polls from Judea and Samaria indicate that only 35 percent of Palestinians would leave willingly if you paid them enough money. That means that we are still stuck with 65 percent of the population. This is my proposal. We declare Gaza to be the Palestinian state. If they can unilateral declare a state, we can unilaterally declare its borders. The name Palestine came from the Philistines any ways and they only ever controlled Gaza, which is not part of Israel historically. We pay the 35 percent of the people from Judea and Samaria that want to leave to leave. We expel all Arabs from Judea and Samaria with criminal records and who are political activists with terrorist organizations like Fatah, Hamas, Islamic Jihad, etc. That would get rid of another large chunk without raising too much international outcry. In the future, any anti-Israel violent activity would result in expulsion to Gaza, not prison time. This would help us get rid of many of them without spending so much tax payer money on them. This would be the case for all except murderers and rapists, who would get the death penalty. I estimate that if we implement these measures, Israel will only be stuck absorbing around 30 to 40 percent of the Arab population in Judea and Samaria. Israel can handle absorbing that small number and still remain to be a Jewish state, especially because the Arabs who remain will be pacified because they will know any hostile action will result in expulsion. This is the only way to create peace while minimizing international criticism. We will grant the pacified Palestinians who remain East Jerusalem status where they will have the right to vote in municipal elections, the right to Israeli social and health benefits, etc. but will not have the right to vote in national elections until the Jewish population grows significantly more due to Aliyah and increased birth rates, while their population will shrink enough because we will put in place programs that will make their women want to study in university instead of having lots of children. Also, freedom of movement will have to wait until the population is entirely pacified. For the Israeli Arabs, this took ten years. For their sake, I hope it takes less time but that is not gaurenteed. It may take longer. While Gaza would remain a problem, at least with this plan the problem would be contained to Gaza, which we would declare to be not just the Palestinian state but a hostile enemy state. We would maintain a blockade on three sides of this state. Turkey has gotten away with blockading Armenia for years, so it should be likewise with us. Any hostile action we could return with brute force without the Palestinians looking like an oppressed victim, because they would have their own state. And, they would have their own state without it needing to affect neighboring countries in the slightest form.
