Preventive war is what happens when a state targets an enemy before they can become an imminent threat of attack. The attack on Pearl Harbor was a preventive war. If it was a preemptive strike then Israel is justified in launching the strike. This would mean it was an imminent attack. I don't think this was the case. I think this was a preventive strike to stop an attack down the road at some hypothetical juncture. Killing an extremist groups leader is asking for a renewed violence. Another unnecessary escalation on the part of the aggressor Israel.

First off the Arabs have declared war on us and have been targeting our civilians. We can use whatever force we deem necessary to end those war-crimes including carpet bombing.
