shalit went through a unique hell and israel sacrificed the world for him. He should have full honors and leave the idf positively. Going forward, every idf soldier has got to learn survival skills and don't be taken alive skills so that being taken captive risk is reduced. and all of the soldiers should be put through gruelling training so that their bodiews are ship shape and who look rugged which itself helps to deter.

I wonder how each one of us would fare being kidnapped by Arab terrorists even if we ONLY had to be there 5 years. that's over 5 years of not knowing whether you'll live or die or be beaten, etc. Such suffering! While it's terrible that terrorists went free,now that the deed is done, i think we should give the poor kid a break and let him just live his life without having to explain anything more!
