There are honor killings for gay men, I remember there was an attack last year where a family tracked a man in their family who ran away to tel aviv and tried to abduct him back home to kill him but was stopped by passers by. It probably happens a lot more for gay men

I wish all of the media that pick up on this piece clarify that the women are MUSLIM and that the danger to their lives is from their FELLOW MUSLIMS. The title of the article in the Toronto Sun is deceptive - until one reads the article, one has the impression that the women (Arabic sounding names) would be put to death by Israel rather than their fellow followers of the "Religion of Peace".

I agree with you 200% but what do you expect? we are experiencing the bias shown EVERYWHERE in the West where Israel is concerned, so don't lose too much sleep about it. About that couple, as much as I think the same sex phenomena is not really normal, let them live their lives as long as they don (try) to hurt people around them. I am not lesbian... So I do not know how is the daily lives of these people. But I believe they would have no problems living in Israel. The real problem are the threats they received. But this can be solved by the police. So I do not understand why this controversy...

This would be a legitimate concern in Ramallah or most of the mainly Muslim communities however in TelAviv there are many places they would be welcomed. Israel is the only mid-east country that would NOT persecute them

They are Israeli citizens who are threatened by Israeli citizens. They reported the threats to the Israeli law enforcement system and should be protected by the Israeli law enforcement system. So what we have here is a case of discrimination by the Israeli government and law system who loafs when the lives of Arab women is on stake.
