1. Palestinian 2 state solution doesn't include Jewish Israel
Sam ,   Canada   (03.25.12)
Whether it's a one state solution or 2 state solution Palestinians want all the states Muslim majority. However, they know the West and liberal Jews are falling all over themselves in their desire for a genuine 2 state solution so the Palestinians are trying to sucker them into handing over the West Bank by talking about 2 states. Some Jews are easily suckered.
2. I am so glad I've never contributed a Sheqel to this fool's
tom ,   tel aviv   (03.25.12)
pocket....
3. The untruth of Amos Oz's analysis
Shalom Freedman ,   Jerusalem Israel   (03.25.12)
A fundamental untruth underlies Amos Oz' analysis. He blames the leaders of both sides when it is clear that it is both the leaders of the Palestinian Arab side who have refused generous offers of Peace again and again. How many times can Israeli leaders offer a state, and have it refused? What is interesting too is that the great majority of Israelis recognize this reality however troublesome it is. Oz is frozen in the mantra of Radical Left self- justification and arrogance. He just is not in touch with the realities.
4. Oz! oh not again, him.
Buskila ,   South America   (03.25.12)
I wish I could read the content of MIchael Bitton (two T's please..)'s delivery; I am pretty sure he is not going to accept Oz's attitude in the case of "Zionism's ownership" as this ideology is from a time when Italy, Greece, and lots and lots of European nascent claims to Statehood was in vogue: now it is an enterty which is long in tooth and unfortunately creates lots of problems for the Israeli population composed in majority of Mizrahi and Sephari domponent whose Ethos of Israel is the Redemption and regenaration of the Jewish people in his home in Israel, and we have long history of Mizrai-Sephardai presence on the ground. So lets not allow such an ideology as Zionism to destroy the Home from within.
5. J Street and all adherents=bunch o'cannibalizing jackarses

6. "majority" in favor of 2-state? Who's he kidding?!?

7. compromise and heaven on earth
mohson   (03.25.12)
oz is a symptom not only of healthy free speech in israeli society unlike the decrepit arab societies in the area, but also an indication of illness. oz, burg, livni, olmert all had problems with their fathers' politics and have rebelled at israel's expense. Oz is supposed to be a famous author, yet he propages outright lies. israel would be heaven on earth in peace with arabs-bullsh*t. Only cold arrangements can happen and nnothing else as jews and arabs in relations are oil and water. Ask the checkoslovaks who gave up the sudentland if their compromise was the spice of life. Oz is an ignorant shmuck whose political suggestions are useless. Olmert, a prime mover of the withdrawal from gaza who said we will have nice relations iwth arabs as we talk peace with them is through explaining why 10000 rockets have hit the south and are still a menace. and who wants to hear this alleged crook and clear war winograd failure who knows nothing , zero about security-J s treet can go to hell with all their speakers-they are full of sh**t. War will decide what happens and nothing less.
8. Sad
michaelpielet ,   israel   (03.25.12)
It says a lot about Israel, and the Israeli government when they give legitimacy to a cabal of anti zionist jew haters, by sending a representitive.
9. Oz is a fool!
Jake Stone ,   USA   (03.25.12)
10. There is more than way to love israel....
Rick ,   Israel   (03.25.12)
but only one sure way to destroy it, his way and J Street's way.
11. He should stick to fiction writing
rebecca ,   Modiin   (03.25.12)
Not that I liked his books.
12. Actually you may be surprised to know
exUK ,   Tel Aviv   (03.25.12)
that there are many 'silent majority' in Israel, who say that they disagree with our policies regarding West Bank Settlement etc,but they are now so afraid to open their mouths for fear of the extreme right,or even maybe 'having a note made of them'. There was a silent majority in Germany, who said nothing in the 1940's and 30's.for fear of their individual safety....
13. It is time to stop denigrating or ignoring J Street as if it
exUK ,   TEl Aviv.   (03.25.12)
was not relevant. Many Jews all over the world are suffering for the perceived policies of our bosses vis a vis WEst Bank settlement, expansionism, destruction of Arab property etc. On the one hand if J street did not CARE about Israel and its present path,J Street would not even exist. On the other hand So to ignore or denigrate it in a democratic society is not proper. Both sides have done bad things, but if SOMEONE does not find a solution soon, everyone will have to start with a barren landscape with no population. Surely Israel was originally conceived as 'a country for Jews' from other places. To ignore the diaspora is to ignore Israel's purpose. And dont expect people who have differing opinions as to what is best for Israel AND themselves to make Aliya
14. Amos Oz: still blind! Still useful fool!
(03.25.12)
15. How come lots of intellectuals can be so BLINDLY SHALLOW?!
Jerry ,   The Netherlands   (03.25.12)
16. j-street
Zvi ,   YERUSHALAIM,ISRAEL   (03.25.12)
Is this true that Saudis contributing to J-street? Can someone answer?
17. I've Been Active In Jewish Organizations For Years
Seth ,   Washington, DC   (03.25.12)
Nobody cares about J Street. Nobody talks about them or cares what they say. They're an empty shell created, in part, by anonymous donors who J Street tried to hide (like George Soros).
18. Who gave OZ the Passport?
Yossi ,   Houston, TX: USA   (03.25.12)
This guy writes about families and neighborhood gossip. He could not be so foolish as to think he is not playing into the hands of NPR and other anti-Israeli anti-Semetic groups by talking about leadership this divisively? Send him back to Arad, but buy him a kove, he has been in the sun too much.
19. wizard of OZ
Ben ,   Free world   (03.25.12)
Grand wizard Mr. OZ spoke at J streets circus. He brought his ass to the dog and pony show?
20. To #13To exUK...maybe you should return to the UK ...?
EST ,   Miami USA   (03.25.12)
JStreet and other organizations were founded and are funded to delegitimize the only Jewsih country of the world...No two ways about it! The diaspora needs Israel, if Jews are to survive, especially in this climate of anti-Semitism worldwide - which has been funded by zillions of petro dollars in a concerted decades old campaign ... they are investing in the destruction of the only Jewsih state ...it is a long term investment and it is obviously buying the souls of people, just like Hitler's public campaign did before he was elected....In this case, it is well known Nazi criminals disappeared into Muslim countries and taught many of these regimes how to build a propaganda machine against their common enemy...and we, Jews, have some incredibly smart people - just like anyone else, we also have some incredibly stupid people who will join a bandwagon of half truths and outright lies, in the pursuit of destroying their own people - without realizing they are as much a target of the enemies of the Jews in the long run.... J-Street should be avoided at all costs by any self-respecting Jew!
21. We would be surprised because
Yonatan ,   Modiin, Israel   (03.25.12)
firstly, its not a majority. Secondly, they keep their mouths shut because they know we have given too much and not only received nothing in return, but have received death as our payment. You cannot run around and spout ideologies any longer. Your ideology costs us our lives and we're not going to have it any more.
22. #15 Looking for explanation? Look no more!
(03.25.12)
Read "Intellectual Morons" by daniel J. Flynn! The by-title says it all: "How Ideology Makes Smart People fall for Stupid Ideas".
23. #16 - YEP! Just ASK JSTREET!
(03.25.12)
24. God protect us from Amos Oz and J-Street "love"!
(03.25.12)
25. Compromise
Dshap ,   Miami, USA   (03.25.12)
Compromise is a beautiful thing. What Oz and the radical left like him fail to recognize is that this elusive thing called "peace" with the arabs has nothing whatsoever to do with compromise. If it did, the arabs would be living in their own country (on what is rightfully Jewish Israeli land) for years now. They have turned down compromise time and again. No, this is not about Israel's compromis. It is about Israel's unwillingness to surrender. We Zionists learned long ago, surrender is NEVER to be an option. NEVER AGAIN! When the arabs demonstrate their willingness to accept peaceful compromise, they should come back to the negotiating table.
26. Heaven on Earth?
Reuven ,   Herzliya Israel   (03.25.12)
If we go the way of Amos Oz, Israel will be hell on earth. We've already burned our fingers withdrawing from Gaza. None are so blind as those that will not see.
27. #12 exuk
solomon ,   bklyn   (03.25.12)
There are many who disagree with the settlements, but no one knows if they are the majority or not. Saying so does not make it so. (And comparing the situation to Germany before WW2 seems to compare Israel now to Germany then. NOT true; saying so does not make it so.)
28. #13 exuk
solomon ,   bklyn   (03.25.12)
To ignore or denigrate J Street (or any organization) in a democratic society is EXACTLY proper; that IS part of democracy and free speech. If you don't like what someone says, you can voice your opinion. And if you really don't like what someone says, realize that that is part of democracy as well.
29. Do not agree at all with Mr. Oz, but love his books!
American Hindu ,   USA   (03.25.12)
I do not agree with Mr. Oz at all, but love his writings. Liked his book HOW TO CURE A FANATIC. Especially liked his quote "In the 1930 the graffiti in Europe read JEWS GO BACK TO PALESTINE! Today the graffiti in Europe reads, JEWS GET OUT OF PALESTINE !!!" I think Mr. Amos Oz is very naive and does not fully apprehend the threat of militant Islam
