1. Why is this bloody terrorist POS allowed
jason white ,   afula,israel   (03.27.12)
to communicate with the outside world. He should be thrown into solitary confinement and let that be his "grave" till he dies. We need a government that will tell the palis that anymore uprisings and we will put a stop to it using deadly force. That goes for the ones in Israel and their leftist allies in terror.
2. Leftist dribble
mike w ,   Ra'anana   (03.27.12)
What is this leftist dribble Ynet? Land occupied since 67? You mean land liberated in 67. Ynet's writers have increasingly and consistently been swaying over to the leftist style of writing. " Palestinian commemorations of an annual protest against Israeli land confiscations". This honestly sounds like something straight from the discredited Ha'aretz.
3. Barghouti for president!
Nour ,   One-State   (03.27.12)
Our very own Mandela...Notice how he hasn't called for violence. It is inevitable that all of the logical actions to be taken WILL be taken: end of the secutity collaboration which protects settlers before the natives; scrapping of the Oslo and Paris accords, admission of Palestine into the UNGA to enable ICC proceed with its long-delayed work.
4. In jail?
Beary White ,   Norway   (03.27.12)
Why has this person been allowed to talk to media, he is in jail? I would understand if he was in a norwegian jail, where the offenders presents their sad stories in leftist newspapers while the victims are forgotten, and beeing threated like leftovers...
5. Nour He is a murderer many times over. Sr Suha
PETER SM ,   AUSTRALIA   (03.27.12)
called Arafat your Mandela. How many have you got? Did Mandela eat while his fellow prisoners were on a hunger strike? Hamas, keep them, you voted them in.Enjoying their thuggery.?
6. Great excuse for refusing to negotiate DESPITE settlement
PETER SM ,   AUSTRALIA   (03.27.12)
freeze. Demanding borders up front as opposed to UNSCR 242,a binding resolution, that calls for negotiated borders.
7. Does YNet support the distruction of Israel???
David ,   USA   (03.27.12)
Why are they seeking interviews with this criminal murderer? He is in JAIL. He should rott SILENTLY in jail. Why isn't he in solitary confimnement and kept away from the press and outside world? Israel = INSANITY
8. To Nour
Yakov ,   Tel Aviv   (03.27.12)
I am happy to burst your fantasy bubble. The stark truth, is that no real support will come your way, until your leaders dispel terrorism and accept our right to exist. You can play the victim card for another 3 generations, but you will end back where you are right now. No Where! Every time you people launch rockets at our children, you move further away from legitimacy. A Palestinian state will simply never occur, until you and your leaders accept Israel, proclaim our right to live, and relinquish terrorism. Until then, you may receive sympathy from the UN, but nothing more.
9. Halloooooo, I'm still here.
tiki ,   belgium   (03.27.12)
Humpty, Dumpty, the terrorist afraid of being forgotten & rotten in Israeli jail!
10. Freedom to kill denies 'Free Speech'!
Roland Seener ,   London England   (03.27.12)
11. Silver Bullet
Ehai ,   London.UK   (03.27.12)
There could only be one good reason for releasing Barghouti and that would be to save Israeli taxpayers the expense of keeping him in prison and to make him the target of the silver bullet. Otherwise the peace of shit should rot and die behind bars. Anyone seriously contemplating putting this man in the driving seat of Palestine should see a shrink. Where are the comments from leading figures in Palestinian society who would denounce Barghouti's call for more Intifada??
12. Palestine's Nelson Mandela
World Citizen ,   the world   (03.27.12)
That is what Israel is making him.
13. No 3 Bargouti is no saint
Emma ,   London   (03.27.12)
Mandela was also a terrorist who killed people but that is something that is conveniently forgotten by people who put him up as a saint. Bargouti is a bloody murderer but then Nour, you people revere murderers and terrorists. How long before you name streets and squares after child killer Mehra? If this is the sort of society you are now, you have no hope for the future. And just how are you going to manage economically when the rest of the world stops pouring billions of dollars into your economy. You are incapable of constructing anything, only destroying which again bodes ill for the future. As they say, you get the leaders you deserve.
14. Go Ahead Punk: Make My Day
Yishai Kohen ,   YeShA, Israel   (03.27.12)
Arab violence will mean the mother of all naqbas for them. We learned from the last Intifada: Zero tolerance.
15. honesty
Ellen ,   Israel/USA   (03.27.12)
While like many others I am confused that he is allowed access to the press, you do have to acknowledge one thing. The man is brutally honest. He isn't talking English one thing and Arabic another. ( note I said Arabic, since the Palys have no unique language or anything else) Maybe Olmert, Peres and some of the other lefties should actually listen to what he is saying. They do not want peace, they do not want co-existance, they want Israel's complete destruction!!
16. Absurd
Marcela Araújo ,   Brazil   (03.27.12)
This Ynet's matter is absurd...
17. LOL!
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (03.27.12)
Oh, go ahead and pronounce whatever you want from your six by eight foot prison cell. It's not exactly as if anyone is paying attention to a neutered ersatz "Palestinian" terrorist. Keep chowing down on your saltpeter, Barghouti. Do you think anyone will be impressed by your less-than-sweet soprano voice? Shower time, honey. Bend over and do that at which you excel.
18. Can anyone 'splain why this....
Gideon Reader   (03.27.12)
...allegedly human buttwipe is not room temp? Exactly how many oportunities does he get to incite death, suffering and carnage? Recall his arrest pix when this quivering bit of excrement was bawling his eyes out as he was taken into custody after his pee poor girl slap he called resistance. Quite the intrepid leader. Sort of like having hot pix of Zippy the Charlady.
19. Its true, no chance for negotiated peace
Samer ,   West Bank   (03.27.12)
Israelis don't want peace, they want settlements and driving Palestinians out of their homes. It is too bad.
20. I agree, Nour. Marwan for president!
Ben Alofs ,   Bangor, UK   (03.27.12)
He calls for a new uprising in the vein of the first Intifada during which people stopped cooperating with the occupation. The PA should do the same. Better yet, it should announce its demise. Let Israel take over the burden of the occupation. At the same time we should step up boycot, divestment and sanctions internationally and increase diplomatic pressure on Israel. All perfectly appropriate and non-violent. I agree with you, Nour, that Marwan Barghouti, thanks to Israel's actions, has become the Palestinian Nelson Mandela. He is a national figure around which all Palestinians can unite!
21. This could Backfire on Barghouti
Lolek ,   Toronto, Canada   (03.27.12)
what if the Palestinian people do not respond in accord with Barghouti? Ignoring Barghouti could mark the beginning of a Palestinian drift away from violence and conflict and toward a more moderate stance. Indeed the Palestinians have a lot to lose if they accede to Barghouti's call and this is their opportunity to show the rest of the mid east that they are not going to be pawns in the bogey war of a bunch of theocratic police states.
22. incominicado????!!!!
sam delpattuco ,   GIBRALTAR,GIBRALTAR   (03.27.12)
THIS MURDERER SHOULD NEVER HAVE BEEN ALLOWEDTO SEND ANY MESSAGE TO ANYONE.He should be locked up in his cell to serve his full sentence and have no access to anyone from outside the prison service.
23. Nour just shut the f.. Up
Adar ,   London,UK   (03.27.12)
24. terrorists should be allowed no forum
Barney ,   USA   (03.27.12)
solitary confinement. as for the hunger strikes that is freedom of choice.
25. He looks similar to Hitler in his photo
David ,   Israel   (03.27.12)
and I'm sure that transcends to his views also
26. Barghouti one of the most " revered "?
Nora Tel Aviv   (03.27.12)
Watch your languageYnet. You should use nothing more than "child murderer" .
27. Serves our government right!!!!!
Talula ,   Israel   (03.27.12)
What dumb ass government allows a prisoner so much freedom of speech and massive media exposure while serving a life sentence for murder? MORONS!!!!!!!
28. What's about UBL...any signals coming
Chris Rettenmoser ,   Bayerisch Gmain Germ   (03.27.12)
from the ocean floor...LOLLL
29. #13
Nour ,   One-State   (03.27.12)
"...you people revere murderers and terrorists." Hey, we don't install high-calibre terrorists as Prime Ministers. Heck, the founder of "Israel" is a terrorist himself (Ben Grun). Sharon is the terrorist of Sabra/Shatila. Barak? Livni ("I insisted we go "wild" in Gaza"). Talk about the pot calling the kettle black.
30. #29 No analogy at all.
Scott   (03.27.12)
As usual, try and twist everything around. But sadly for you , there is no twisting the fact Barghouti is a murderer. Not a ‘freedom fighter” a filthy cold-blooded butcher that apparently, like many of you – is ‘revered’. You people are sick. Trying to equate various Israelis efforts in the same light as also terrorists is puerile and for lame brains like yourself. None of those you mention DELIBERATELY ever targeted, aimed for or intended to kill CHILDREN. That’s what YOU people DO…The Fogel family is your latest effort. Filthy scum get off on it. Have a lolly Nour...and choke on it.
