I am sorry for not responding earlier; I did not see your post at first blush. Thank you for your kind words. But I think that Barghouti, as a maximum security prisoner, should have no access to the press -- or to anyone. He's been convicted; he has lost all his appeals. Keep him in solitary confinement 23 hours a day, one hour alone in a pen to "exercise." He is as vile a prisoner as has ever been held in an Israeli prison. By the way -- I, too, am praying for Lieberman to be the next prime minister. Given the results of today's Kadima primary -- that is not a far-fetched concept. The defectors from Kadima aren't going to Labor -- they're moving to the right. Wouldn't it be wonderful to have a prime minister that doesn't feel compelled to tie Israel's future to the whims of an American president or a viciously anti-Semitic EU? Oh, that would be a happy day, indeed!

"a viciously anti-Semitic EU" Seems that reality is rather elusive these days for some posters.
