Deebo ,   Holon   (03.30.12)
I wonder if anyone else has noticed that every single person in the background of that picture is a photographer. Zoom in.
62. Stinky stuff and high-pitch sound waves
HaifaGuy   (03.30.12)
I sure hope it all works! I wonder if there's a way to know how effective these means have been so far. No dead Pals is the hardest blow Israel could deal to our enemies, who can't wait to get their hands on a blood-soaked body of a freshly killed protester and pose for their kodak moment.
63. No publicity In the UK or the US -Boycott Fail
Ambrosine shitrit ,   london uk   (03.30.12)
The British & American Media, hardly mentioned this, so this was a huge fail for the Palestinian mob, trying to ignite a final solution for the Jewish people. The UK were more concerned with supposed petrol strikes and George Jihad Galloway becoming MP for Bradford West.
64. Resistance is must
peter vojta ,   prague   (03.30.12)
The only rasism is from Israel!!! People always protested against occupation and always will!!! Were the people in Warsow Gheeto rasist during WW2? Resistance against illegal occupation has to continue till the day Palestine is liberated from Zionism. Only when Truth Judaism comes to Palestine/Israel will there be prospect of lasting peace. Whole world knows it, so get the truth and not some "twisted" religious texts. Almighty will defeat Anticrist on the end....that" is "in scriptures.

Oleg ,   USA   (03.30.12)
How nice to see, that midea is preoccupied with cruelty coming from IDF. Are there same numbers in Syria, Iran or any other crappy country?

71. To: No. 28 and No. 30
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (03.30.12)
You have completely failed to grasp the point. This has NOTHING to do with Arabs or Israelis. It has EVERYTHING to do with the absolute and affirmative right of a sovereign state to protect and defend its borders, up to and including the use of deadly force. I suspect you are both far too feeble-minded to appreciate that fact, so just content yoursleves with launching upon stupid and entirely irrelevant jeremiads.
72. Sarah B at 68 and Gabe at 26

It was me. I'm having a bad day. Sorry.....
73. Did you hear? They shot and KILLED an

Arab? Well, the word spreads fast and now they all went home. Why? Because Israel means business! Get it?
74. Twenty?
Douglas Fireman ,   Chicago, USA   (03.30.12)
It was the twenty year old man's choice to participate in the Land March. He is totally responsible for his own actions.
75. Until...
Ahron ,   Holon, Israel   (03.30.12)
This sort of non-sense will continue to happen until our politician's realize that it is better to do the following: 1.) Have a constitution. 2.) deport all pals/neteuri karta to jordan 3.) annex Judea, Samaria, Golan Heights, Gaza and even Sinai. 4.) re-establish the death penalty. 5.) send via mail, Al-quds back to Saudi-Arabia. By not doing these things, it only promotes further action/protests/terrorist actions because they (Pals/N.K.) feel they actually have a chance to succeed in the destruction of Israel. By establishing these policies, Israel would reinforce the idea that we Israeli's are NOT going anywhere. Furthermore, it's a tremendous cost to keep our security forces not only looking out, but in! It's about time for our politician's and larger public to wake up and realize that it's better for everyone if we stop playing this game. It's better for Palestinian's, it's better for Israeli's and it's better for the whole world.
76. Where is Salma (like where's Wally)

solomon ,   bklyn   (03.30.12)
Israel and the rest of the ME were occupied in the Moslem Conquest in the late 600’s AD. Jews were living there before Muhammed was born. Peace will come to the area when the arabs stop wanting to kill the Jews. Read some history, then post. BTW: There is NO comparison between the Warsaw Ghetto and “Palestine”. In the first, the Nazis were the aggressors. In the second, the arabs. And arabs in Israel vote, are represented in the government, sit in the Supreme Court, and go to the same hospitals that Jews do to be seen by the same arab and Jewish doctors. Comparing WW2 to the arab self-made plight is ludicrous. As is your entire post.

Feel sorry for the good people that risked their and family life to save your parents so they could create a slimebag like you ? ,...
80. Non violent my a**
canadian ,   calgary, canada   (03.30.12)
On the official website, they said it'd be nonviolent. What do they do as soon as they see the IDF? Throw molotovs, burning tires, and rocks at them. Sounds nonviolent to me.
81. #8
Jim044 ,   USA   (03.30.12)
you're suggesting that these four states were taken from the Mexicans and it just ain't so. Shut up and mind your own business.
82. Ella #20 is right
LC ,   Burbank, USA   (03.31.12)
Not that it's fair to be required to put aside feelings of anger at having one's borders attacked - but the use of less than lethal force here was the right approach. Also, it seems to have worked. I haven't seen any reports of huge crowds overwhelming the walls of Israel! Another idea just to consider... it's something to be proud of when you have a country that goes out of its way to try to prevent casualties even against its enemies in a situation like this, rather than pulling out the big guns at the slightest hint of dissent like Assad. I don't know who will win the PR game on this one, but Israel certainly scores a moral victory here, imo.
83. AH! SO MUCH FOR PEACEFUL PROTEST
Iranian Jew ,   Los Angeles   (03.31.12)
I don't see anything peaceful here. This is just another day in Israel. Nothing has changed. I hope they will not start using guns. Then it will get ugly.
84. THANK YOU IDF!
Iranian Jew ,   Los Angeles   (03.31.12)
You boys make us proud each time. God Bless you all, my brothers and sisters.
85. To: LC at No. 82
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (03.31.12)
This isn't a game, and it has absolutely nothing to do with public relations. The issue -- the ONLY issue -- is whether a sovereign state has the right to defend, secure and preserve its borders. The question of morality does not enter into it at all. Israel is a sovereign state. What do you think would happen to a mob that decides to march on the Tibetan border? There are times to take the high moral ground, and there are times to exercise the rights that all sovereign nations possess. I am not "bloodthirsty" but I do believe that Israel had absolutely no obligation to go to great expense and care to thwart thousands of violent interlopers attempting to violate her borders. The use of deadly force would have been far mnore effective, because Israel would then not need to devote time, money and resources to worrying about Naqba Day -- or any other day, for that matter -- tell me: Does anyone march from Katmandu intent upon celebrating Free Tibet Day? Not hardly. That's the issue. That's the real issue. Sovereign states enjoy the same rights and privileges. There is no reason for Israel to bend over backwards to accommodate a bunch of unruly and violent terrorists. And if lethal force is required, so be it.
86. look at the crowd in the picture
merlin ,   boston, ma   (03.31.12)
the crowd is all photographers. if the photographers went home would the rioters go home?
87. #30 trevor
solomon ,   bklyn   (03.31.12)
“The support for extremism is largely a consequence of these abuses - “ You have it backwards; arab extremism comes from the Quran. It is Israel’s defensive reaction to [how many?!] wars begun by the arabs of which you are complaining. No apologies. Moslem “teaching: is to kill the Jews. Keep your eyes closed; don’t open them. I guarantee you won’t like the truth when you see it.
88. Land Day Protests
Rokny Pio ,   Mumbai, India   (03.31.12)
So much restraint for such a violent mob, only 1 dead ! Bravo IDF, marvelous job.
89. Give me a break ,...
split ,   US   (03.31.12)
One man killed, 50 injured and150 hurt, what a success and something to brag about ,... That killed man was someone's son, grandson, a brother or dad ,... Killing and clubbing defenseless civilians, that's what they're good at . BTW, crowd control it's a police job.
90. #89 split
solomon ,   bklyn   (03.31.12)
The success was that so many people who want Israel to disappear tried to enter the country en masse and illegally and so few got hurt...thanks to the cautious response of the IDF. When a mob attacks, they are defenseless civilians in your mind only. BTW, crowd control is usually a police job, but not in Israel. Too many people want to see Jews dead and there are too few police. In provocations like these, the IDF and police cooperate. You're still willfully blind and ignorant; pitiful.
