Finland has not the highest rate of suicide in the word; Lithuania, Russia, Belarus, Latvia, Estonia, Hungary, Slovenia, Ukraine and Kazakhstan has higer. You should visit Finland before you tell what kind of country this is. Finland has a lot higher values and human rights than Usa. We have, among other things, a free healty care system for everyone, free schools with a high standard ( the best in the whole world) etc etc. And yes, we are a happy nation :) The funny thing is, that USA always thinks it´s so wonderful country. In so many ways it is actually a one-horse town to compared with Finland and the rest of the Scandinavia :) But I do agree, that Israel is a happy country, it is the best in the whole world! Except for the belief in God which really does make people happier, the realmreason Israelis are happier is probably the quality of family relationships. No one goes around their daily life actually saying they're happy because of our army or that we are the light unto the nations. That's pure garbage.

I do agree with you. Israel may be circled by enemies since her creation, but the great majority of her people believes in God Almighty and upholds familiar values. That's the more important for all countries, including the mine. We can not let it be weakened, like has occurred into the Old Continent. One thing that everyone who comes to Israel will see is Israelis outside walking and eating at all times of day and night. They will see children outside playing and in the malls. They will see that even if an Israeli counts thousands of shekels outside, he will not be hit on the head and have his money stolen. The Israelis invite others into their houses and treat them better than an most families in the western world treat their kids. I have found Israelis to be special and something that the rest of the western civilized world is not even close to being. When I first moved here from the USA, I was always walking with mace in my hand and ready to be jumped at every corner. When I would go out in Tel Aviv and go back to the youth hostel at 3am, I was scared, but looked at all the people walking on the boardwalk in Tel Aviv, not scared; old, young and in-between all with some internal freedom that I never knew as an American. To see kids on buses alone, in malls alone, playing and walking outside alone is still something which I cherish about this beautiful country. And when it comes down to it, even an Israeli Arab will help a Jewish one usually and the other way around. It is not like the news portrays it! We all share in helping each other and happiness.
