joe kidd ,   ottawa canada   (04.14.12)
The people in Iran don't like their government but external pressure will force them to unite and the ruling regime will just become stronger as it has in the past. Israeli government has lost objectivity catering to the country's fanatics. They need to back off so wiser nations like the USA (P5+1) can do their job. This is about protecting world peace and economy.
34. The talks in Turkey will reassure Israel.

35. Moronic logic
Syd Chaden ,   Palermo Calif USA   (04.14.12)
What the statement really means is that the Western countries would be greatly inconvenienced if Israel attacked Iran. The inconvenience, of course, would arise because of the Iranian response which would include interference with shipping through the Strait of Hormuz. So, Israel is supposed to wait, while Iran continues to develop its nuclear weaponry. The US and its "allies" would continue to deny the reality of an Iranian nuke, because, if tests were underground, no one could say with certainty that they were nuclear. Only after a mushroom cloud rises over Tel Aviv or Haifa, will the US acknowledge that Iran, indeed, must have a nuclear weapon. Obama, with his "undying commitment to Israel's security", would undoubtedly condemn a nuclear attack on Israel "in the strongest possible terms". He just won't do anything to prevent it, and he doesn't want Israel to do anything to prevent it. He doesn't place Israel's survival above inconvenience. It is left to Israel to act to ensure its survival, even if that might be inconvenient for some.
