1. LOL!
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (04.14.12)
"It never crossed my mind that Israel could stop people with British passports leaving British airports" That's because you are incredibly stupid, dear. It has nothing to do with your point of origination or the passport you hold, it has to do with your destination and your evident intent. But look on the bright side -- you wouldn't really do well as a security detainee in an Israeli prison. No tea and crumpets, I assure you. Just stay home. Don't dabble in matters of which you are clueless. You'll only hurt yourself. But you might want to educate yourself by doing some research. Again, I caution you: don't hurt yourself, or strain your already severely overstressed "brain."
2. I would like to know...
(04.14.12)
what Ms. Turner calls it when the British Citizen Yusuf Islam (formerly known as Cat Stevens) was denied exit from Britain because he's on his way to entry to the USA in 2004. I do believe Ms. Turner might do well to go and review international agreements between nations and airlines...particularly post 2001 (after 911). She may be interested in viewing any and all categories under the heading "no fly lists" and "unwanted aliens lists" All countries have them and all countries honor them. Israel is exercising its rights as a nation...this despite the fact that Ms. Turner doesn't think Israel is a nation!
3. Good for Them, and any airline has
Peggy ,   Israel   (04.14.12)
the right to refuse passage. Certainly Israel shouldn't have to keep them, feed them until they are put on a plane home...nor pay the return fare! Its costing enough in manpower due to all these nutcases with nothing better to do causing all the trouble. They want to visit Gaza, then try flying to Cairo, would like to see how the Egyptians react. I am sure they wouldnt be as sensative as the Israelis. Funny old world, so close to Israel there is someone slaughtering his own people daily, disregarding requests for a ceasefire....maybe Israel has something to learn from her neighbors, get a good lying propaganda machine, play the underdog and cry tears all over the UN platform! show people dying in the streets, slum areas only open to the media.
4. What would Miz Turner rather do?
Vicky ,   Ashkelon Israel   (04.14.12)
Arrive in Israel and get arrested for insulting the country she wishes to land. When will these so called activists realize WE DO NOT OCCUPY GAZA. Hamas does. to protest at OUR borders with bias opinions when I doubt she would listen to ours, is an insult to us. You would do better Miz Turner to protest the growing fundamental Islamics' slowly taking over your own country. For soon you will be covered from head to toe, forbidden to leave your hose, and be forcibly converted ti Islam. Who's border would you be able to protest then?
5. Love the bit concerning 'no refund'
Mark ,   Lodz, Poland   (04.14.12)
Ouch!
6. What crimes or anti social behaviour
leon ,   Britain   (04.14.12)
or antisocial behaviour have these women been accused of? Or is it a case that Israel does not like non violent resistance to the occupation of the west bank?
7. 73yr old cancer suffer refused access
leon ,   Britain   (04.14.12)
This old lady that you are scared to let into your country has never been convicted of any crime and yet you see her as a threat!! The bogeyman is coming for you ooooooh
8. Welcome to "Palestine" *YAWN*
A ,   Belgium   (04.14.12)
Imagine if Abbas gave a party and nobody came. All that delicious propaganda and yummy lies gone to waste. Oh well, he can always try peddling his b.s. at the UN, as usual.
9. no refund #5
jo moor   (04.14.12)
Make it really hurt: $100 000 deposit upfront to Israel authority and deport them anyway. That will give them major groin pain in their money pocket. Any protest: treat as security prisoner and detain them for 6mths with no priveledges. Maybe then they might prefer to go to Damascus or Cairo to protest their opinion about middle east events. :) :)
10. #6 Leon" You should know what crime as you are a Brit!
David ,   Karmiel, Israel   (04.14.12)
The crime is Antisemitism! The given reason for this "visit" to "Palestine" is to lay a cornerstone for an international school. Unless you are totally blind to non-Israeli media, you will know that that children in the Palestinian Authority and Gaza are taught to hate, kill and maim Israelis or ALL creeds and to destroy Israel from the First Grade! Do you think that if the "Occupation" was ended or never happened, that Antisemitism and hatred of Israel would never have happened? Your own King Edward I threw the Jews out of England in 1290 and there was no Israel and no Palestine. Jews were blamed for the Black Plague and even the Great Fire of London. The fact is that hatred of Israel is in vogue and the NGOs are showing their true colors by condemning Israel and doing nothing about the real oppression in Syria, Tibet and Gulf States! Israel is an easy target. Honesty is much more difficulty and since when are Arabs "non-violent"?

ALBERT EINSTEIN ,   SAFED OPERA HOUSE   (04.14.12)
13. SPIT ON ME ONCE ,YOUR FAULT
MR ISRAELI ,   SAFED OPERA HOUSE   (04.14.12)
Spit on me twice my fault. Activists can go to hell (without a refund )
14. @6 same crime Cat Stevens committed when he tried 2 enter...
(04.14.12)
USA in 2004. In that case USA exercised its right to keep Cat Stevens out. In this case Israel is exercising its right to keep these people out. If you still don't understand, why don't you fly into Damascus and ask the Syrian President!
15. What International Law really says...
NewMan   (04.14.12)
4th Geneva Convention, Article 5: "Where in the territory of a Party to the conflict, the latter is satisfied that an individual protected person is definitely suspected of or engaged in activities hostile to the security of the State, such individual person shall not be entitled to claim such rights and privileges under the present Convention as would, if exercised in the favour of such individual person, be prejudicial to the security of such State. Where in occupied territory an individual protected person is detained as a spy or saboteur, or as a person under definite suspicion of activity hostile to the security of the Occupying Power, such person shall, in those cases where absolute military security so requires, be regarded as having forfeited rights of communication under the present Convention. In each case, such persons shall nevertheless be treated with humanity and, in case of trial, shall not be deprived of the rights of fair and regular trial prescribed by the present Convention. They shall also be granted the full rights and privileges of a protected person under the present Convention at the earliest date consistent with the security of the State or Occupying Power, as the case may be" If half these people actually took the time to read the actual laws, they would know that they have no re-course in this matter, And those that are receiving refunds should consider themselves lucky.
16. #6,7 Can I as an Israeli Jew fly to Saudi Arabia?
Tahl   (04.14.12)
And can I fly to Damascus to show my support to the oppressed Syrian people? Protest that, moron.
17. To: A at No. 8
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (04.14.12)
Yes, of course, but the last time Abbas went to the United Nations, beggar's bowl in hand, that's exactly what he came back holding -- b.s.!
18. To: No. 6
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (04.14.12)
First of all, the protest would be anything but non-violent. Secondly, all countries request passenger manifests before a flight ever takes off. Every country has the right to strike persons from the list, and do so quite freqently, certainly more often than clearly you realize. It isn't necessarily about how someone may act in Britain, Germany, Canada or any other place -- it is about how they are certain to act at the point of destination that keeps them from entering a country. Israel, a sovereign state, has every right to deny entry to undesirables -- all countries have that right, and exercise it -- and only Israel has the right to decide who is or is not undesirable. Each day thousands upon thousands of people from foreign nations enter Israel and are welcomed with open arms. Whether coming to Israel to visit family, or for business, or for tourism or for purposes of pilgrimage, they never experience a problem. Then again, they are not attempting to enter Israel for antisocial purposes and with malice aforethought. Israel has the absolute right to deny entry to those who will not respect the laws of Israel and who lie about the purposes of their visit.
19. To: Mark at No. 5
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (04.14.12)
Oh, I know! That part actually made me laugh out loud. Perhaps these ignorant yahoos now realize that it isn't a game with a willing partner and that there are consequences, which can be unpleasant. With respect to the latter, evidently they never heard of the late, unlamented Rachel Corrie, who entered "tourism" as the purpose of her visit to Israel. It's considered a crime to lie on a visa application and sometimes one pays a very high price for breaking the law.
20. #7 CRY ME A RIVER
DA URBAN POET ,   SAFED OPERA HOUSE   (04.14.12)
21. The Protestors have already won
Ivor Sawbottom   (04.14.12)
The negative publicity in the west that Israel is recieving coupled with the cost of what is to all intense and purpose the militarisation of Ben Gurion Airport Is leading to disruption and has allowed people to raise question about their country's relationship with Israel. Whilst just letting them in, letting them go to Bethlehem, then letting them go home again wouldn't have raised a whimper. I despair at the Israeli government, they are complete idiots
22. To #16 I was with you until ...
EST ,   Miami USA   (04.14.12)
you hit the Syria part of your post. Have you not heard that the Syrian opposition leader in exile is blaming Ïsrael and the Jewish lobby"for keeping their dictator in power and convincing Western countries not to attack or lend military support as in other countries????Anti-Semitism is inbred in these people by now...Iraq won't let Jews in to restore their synagogue and have been mouthing anti-Semitic stupidities as of late...Egypt...has gone to the dogs, Syria...just read what I wrote before... On another note...good for Israel by charging the airlines who fly in these people that are coming with criminal intent...before they get there...and good that it will, for once, cost the criminals instead of Israel!
23. #7
Sam M ,   UK   (04.14.12)
Trying to get the sympathy vote will get you nowhere! It's got nothing to do with anyone's state of health and implying that it should makes you sound like a moron! Even if an 'activist' was 120 years of age and accompanied by both parents a trip with the sole intent of delegitimising the State of Israel is an invasion of Israel's sovereignty and like many other supporters of Israel I would like to see those who manages to evade security at Ben Gurion airport heavily fined and imprisoned, about six months sounds about right to me! While those who are apprehended at the airport should be expelled and subject to a permanent ban on re-entry.

Ivor Sawbottom... with this kind of fanciful thinking we can all say we see your bottom.
25. Airlines Cancel Flytilla
Rachel   (04.14.12)
Why don't they go to Egypt or Jordan and ask to cross borders from there? Could it be because they will not get such a warm welcome from them either? We are fed up with these useful idiots coming to our country to instigate riots and unrest~which is the only reason they come. Kudos to the airlines!
26. # 19 SARAH, AMEN!!!!!!!!!
Robert Levine ,   Las Terrenas,DR   (04.14.12)
27. @ 21 The Protestors have already won
leon ,   Britain   (04.14.12)
Totally correct,When the world see's that you turn away frail 73 yr old nurses that are suffering from cancer and that there is no whiff of anti semetism about her it looks bad. Also when there are extremists saying that this old lady should be shot or imprisoned with trial and everybody cheers them on it makes people understand what the Palestinians are going through on a daily basis. If you had ignored them what would have happened.LOL You have exposed your true self
28. No Refund part is funny.
Rio ,   Miami   (04.14.12)

29. awsome
