5. ah right...
Israeli ,   Israel   (04.15.12)
Wish them a Happy Life and a Good Strong Marriage...But its a shame there living a lie and are at the hands of Iran as a political tool. Its funny how all 'Palestinian' tradition is exactly the same as all other Arab tradition. Finally how can Israel be occupying there own land? WIERDDD
6. their country
michael Pielet ,   israel   (04.15.12)
of origin is the 22 arab states
7. seeeing as some arabs
pini   (04.15.12)
Live in west bank I guess she's wrong in saying her ancestors had to leave.
8. Refugee camps in Syria and Lebanon are apartheid personified
naro ,   nyc   (04.15.12)
Under international law all refugees should have been resettled in their country of refuge. At least allowed to buy property, go to professional school, travel abroad and work in any profession they want. In Lebanon and Syria as well as areas under Palestinian control all refugees are kept as hostages with no rights at all. It is the worse form of apartheid (separation and discrimination.)
9. You are Arabs occupying 23 countries.Not enough ?
olim hadashim ,   tel aviv/israel   (04.15.12)
10. Her ancestors DID NOT HAVE TO LEAVE!!! they chose to do that
EST ,   Miami USA   (04.15.12)
Shame on their country! They were both born in Syria...and can't claim Syrian citizenship because all Muslim countries deny them citizenship...they are much more useful as political peons and to suck money away from western countries who support UNWRA...
11. # 5 Israeli, Israel
Sagi   (04.15.12)
I appreciate the fact that English is not your native language or perhaps your Mother tongue. Neither is it mine. Please try to differentiate between THEIR, THERE, AND THEY ARE. Constructive and well meant criticism.
12. VISA
Mike ,   Edmonton, AB   (04.15.12)
There is no reason to grant a visitors visa to Syrian residents. Some Israeli public servant was bribed to do so. An investigation should be conducted and corrupted public servents should be removed from office.
13. awww isn't that special
bari ,   nyc usa   (04.15.12)
this ain't the homeland of your ancestors honey. that is most likely in saudia arabia or syria where you currently live, perhaps lebanon. say i do and go back from whence you came.
14. YNet's choice of newsworthy items
Julie ,   Israel   (04.15.12)
A non-relevant-to-Israelis article written by the anti-Israeli Associated Press, full of factual inaccuracies, cloaked in sugary sentiment for distant relatives of a people who are occupying Israeli land. Yup, Y-Net never ceases to amaze its readers with anything they can find to paint Israel as "occupying aggressors preventing the oh-so poor "Palestinians" from having a nice life. What utter trash.
15. There are no refugees: they CHOSE to leave
EZRA THE PROUD JEW ,   USA-ISRAEL   (04.15.12)
due to what their 'arab' brothers told them. Now they have to live with the consequences. These are SYRIANS...NOT palestinians. No such thing, never will be. And these idiots should learn that the moment they began calling themselves that, they voided any and all agreements concerning land in Israel because that was meant for the "Arabs" NOT a people called the palestinians. Breach, not antics, aside from all of the other FACTS that makes any arab claim to the lands in Israel valid. They REFUSED. So they got married; they should have a nice life. But the title is propaganda and foolish; they're SYRIAN! PERIOD!
16. traditional Palestinian clothes? What is that?
Yaniv ,   Columbus   (04.15.12)
17. Dancing on the bones of my family, in my village, in my home
Yochanan ,   Israel   (04.15.12)
land. You have occupeid lands from north west africa to the Iranian border in the region of afganistan and pakistan. You have 99.99% of the regions lands, yet you dont care about your fellow human beings, even, arab, and especially Jew and Christian. Should I feel sorry that your ancestors sided with nazi germany and the mufti and heeded his calls and the call of the invading agressor arab armies to destroy the jews in a second holocaust? your ancestors were glad to leave for a vaaction expecting to take the posessions that had belong to the Jews. I hope you go back to syria your place of birth, or to the real lands of your ancestors which usually meant areas outside of what is today israel.
18. ap doesn't have a clue!
tom ,   toronto, canada   (04.15.12)
if the "west bank" is the land of their ancestors, why are they refugees? and if they live in a refugee camp in syria, set up in 1957, where and what were their parents (or grandparents) fleeing from, exactly? there was no arab-israeli war to flee from, and the "west bank" was under jordanian occupation from 1948 to 1967. could someone please give ap a clue- they seem to need one!
