I have been hoping for some time that a figure of Meridor's calibre would admit that "wipe" was never used in original Farsi. This was always a disingenuous assertion insofar as direct translation is concerned. We don't like others to make creative translations about what our leaders say according to their agenda either. This is about having enough respect for your enemy to attempt to get the literal literal. Actually, quite a bit to ask for. I trust our PM is aware and supportive and has known this for years regardless of his public comments to the contrary. Sometimes the flat truth is just correct both internally and externally. I hope we will see more of this nature in the future.
