1. New sanctions?
Shalom ,   U.S.A.   (04.23.12)
When are they going to take effect? In five weeks or five months?
2. Presidential election
Joel Seidemann ,   White Plains NY USA   (04.23.12)
It took a Presidential election and waning Jewish support to get the President to the museum. For American Jews after the November election, what will be the President's attitude when there are no future elections and no voters to pander to?
3. "I'll always be there for Israel"
Malone ,   Hfx   (04.23.12)
LOL...yeah,right...at least until the election is over.
4. Holocaust and Israel
sam ,   US   (04.23.12)
Israel doesn't represent Jews and anyone who want's to sympathies with the Holocaust victims shouldn't relate this with the support of Israel because this will hurt the memory
5. #2 Presidential election
ltrail ,   United States   (04.23.12)
The Jewish support scares me. And I cannot comprehend why they continue supporting as they do. Is it because someone says something like, "I'll always be there for you"?
6. Yes Sure
Joe sombrero ,   Usa   (04.23.12)
Just like the leak of Israeli attak plans by "us officials" a few weeks ago. Just like the convienent Loss of memory about Jerusalem as the capital of Israel. Just like Hillery Clinton dismissing Pro Israel supports as election retorick . I do see he has Israels back
7. Great Speech!
Jack Hoff ,   NY NY   (04.23.12)
Remember folks, Obama got elected president based on his great rhetoric/speech skills. How much of this speech was fact and how much was fiction remains to be seen. However, we must give him credit for his skills as a great communicator. It was a moving speech, albeit, a political ploy for reelection
8. Relax -- you'll keep getting your weapons & financing
Cameron ,   USA   (04.23.12)
9. Hopefully after Jan,2013 b.o. won't be
jason white ,   afula, israel   (04.23.12)
there for anyone in the White House. But he will probably out carter jimmy carter as an enemy of Israel and the Jews for years.
10. Jack # 7 Thank his speech writers....
Eaglebeak ,   Left Coast, USA   (04.23.12)
without a teleprompter he is rather lost. Without the people who are supporting him to hold him up he wouldn't appear so great.
11. You were NOT there for Israel
Israeli 2   (04.23.12)
and you will NOT be there for Israel. We also don't need you aside from the fact that you will NOT be re-elected!
12. What do you want now SON?
Helen ,   London, UK   (04.23.12)
To use such a speech, you must want something from Israel. Tell us son lol
13. Two Faces
Harrybaby ,   Canada   (04.23.12)
Obama's policies have placed israel in more danger than ever in her history. At least Israel once knew who the enemy was. Today, thanks to Obama and his catastrophic Arab Spring, the Muslim Brotherhood are taking over in the region. Now the Americans are beating a retreat out of the middle east, tails between their legs, with a weak leader expressing lip service to holocaust survivors. What a hypocrite!
14.  outside voice:I´ll be there for you
me   (04.23.12)
(in$ide voice:for my bu$$ine$$,of course)
15. Obama will always be there for Iran, Russia...
Chaim ,   Israel   (04.23.12)
Obama will always be there for Iran, Russia and all America's other rivals and enemies. Obama's "hot mic" episode caught him promising Russia's President that after his reelection, "...he could be more flexible". Meaning, he'd be able to concede to Russia's extortionist demands. At America's expense. Obama has also been enthusiastically going along with Iran's transparent bid to buy time to allow it to build nuclear bombs. Obama iwll always be there to do as much harm as he can to Israel.
16. clearly, Obama's AH syndrome
observer ,   Egypt   (04.23.12)
17. Nice words ....
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (04.23.12)
... but it's the deeds that count. Obama has been extraordinarily hostile to the State of Israel. I'm really not sure that he should even be invited to place a candle or offer meaningless words when his actions are so patently anti-Semitic. What do I care if he puts on a kipah, lights a candle and makes appropriate noises if ten minutes later he's back to bullying Israel?
18. i'LLBE THERE FOR ISRAEL UNTIL I'M RE-ELECTED
...DACON9   (04.23.12)
19. To Jews: I'm with you. To Arabs: Wait until elections
Kolumn9 ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (04.23.12)
He is 'with Israel' and 'with the Jews', but has yet to actually visit Israel as president. About as far as he will be willing to go for Jews or Israel is to pay a visit to a museum commemorating their deaths.
20. don't politicize the shoah
Avramele   (04.23.12)
what part of "thank you Mr. President" don't talkbackers and Israeli government spokesmen understand? the memory of the shoah and support for a safe and secure Israel is and always will be a bi-partisan issue in America. Don't confure yur dislike for Obama with this issue. The settler neo-revisionist right does best what it has always done best: create phony divisive issues to rile up their base. shame on you guys!!
21. Avoiding Another Holocaust
Syd Chaden ,   Palermo Calif USA   (04.23.12)
Obama's need for American Jewish contributions and votes has interrupted his "New Approach to the Muslim World". Obama wants to make the Muslim World happy, and the only thing that will make the Muslim World happy is the destruction of Israel. In the meantime, Obama takes every opportunity to declare his undying commitment to Israel's security. Not even the Saudis believe that. Arab Gulf countries, terrified over the potential Iranian nuclear capability, would have been happy if the US or Israel launched a preemptive attack on Iran to destroy that capability. Obama not only has not done that, he has exercised very heavy-handed diplomacy(?) to prevent Israel's unilateral action. Accordingly, Saudi Arabia and the other Gulf countries are now looking to China for nuclear technology, to develop their own deterrent. But, Israel, without oil to bribe "friends", must look to its only true friend, the G-D of Israel. Not to political "gods", like Obama, but to the Almighty, all powerful, all knowing, G-D.
22. Don' t trust Obama ! Israel must act alone !
(04.23.12)
23. OBAMA WILL BE THERE UNTIL 11/6
BEN JABO ,   ISRAEL   (04.23.12)
if he loses the election, he'll vanish with the wind along with his promises Promises, promises, not a snigle sincere pledge among them Barak Hussein Obama is Kow towing for the Jewish vote , as shamlessly as with with the Muslim's when he kissed ring on the Saudi Kings finger The polite phrase would be "Tuchas lekking"
24. He was never with Israel
Jewish Patriot ,   Galut   (04.23.12)
He was never with Israel
25. Yes. He'll "be there".
Shimon ,   Cincinnati, USA   (04.23.12)
Waaaaay, waaaaaaay, waaaaay over there. NOT, however, in Israel. Not even for a visit. Next "promise"?
26. #17 - Sarah B
Devorah   (04.24.12)
Exactly. His dog and pony show was nothing short of a desecration. For that matter, so was Abe Foxman's presence since he asked American Jews to go easy on Obama.
27. To Syd at No. 21
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (04.24.12)
Not entirely. Israel controls two of the largest natural gas fields ever discovered. Leviathan comes on line this year. We will be able to buy any European country we want. Natural gas -- at the right price -- trumps violent Arab and Moslem minorities every time.
28. Until He Wins Election In Nov......
Dan ,   USA   (04.24.12)
and then he won't need jewish money nor votes anymore. What do you think will happen to israel then ?
29. Do They Not Understand?
A.C.Guard ,   USA   (04.24.12)
It is horrifying seeing wealthy American leftest Jews and hollywood elite slobbering all over Obama.
30. Obama has saved Israel.....
Robert ,   Australia   (04.24.12)
.....by successfully opposing any military action by Israel against Iran. You should be getting on your knees before him to give thanks.
