There are also stories of ambulance's prevented of reaching the injured.

no person and no soldier is perfect, and they are certainly not fortune tellers, and because there is just a good a chance as one of those people at a check point being really sick as there is a chance that they are coming to blow themselves up, the soldiers have to be extra cautious. maybe the "good" among the arabs should finally realize the truth that it is the evil among their people that cause them the most harm. p.s. its not called an ambulance anymore when it has a rocket launcher in the back

Ambulances are held up at checkpoints because it is a documented fact that Palestinian terrorists have used to them to smuggle arms, bombs and terrorists into Israel proper. Why don't you blame the terrorists who compromise the immunity of the ambulance or the terrorists who made checkpoints necessary in the first place?

you are a huge liar. i serve at checkpoints and at any time we see distress and sick patient, we let them come forward right away. right away. pregnant women, sick children and elderly. we call ambulance right away and most just go straight to the israeli hospitals in the area. i did face many many such incidences and not once we ever lost anyone at the check points. if you are not here, please do not speak nonsense. eli stationed in hebron

..in my land and their animosity to the Jews and Israel, I still think it was the right thing to do to save the life of this 10-day old baby. This is an innocent life who has nothing to do with the Jew hatred, evil, terrorism, falsification and denial of our 4000 years of Jewish history - lies emanating from the PLO, Hamas, Fatah and the majority of the "Palestinians" who are hellbent on stealing our land and history and ultimately our existence. Despite facing such evil from the Arabs, innocent babies should never be punished. Kudos to the IDF for showing such moral clarity. I hope the baby fully recovers and I only wish that a) international mass media could report the bravery and morality of our soldiers, b) if international mass media could finally speak the truth about who are the good and bad guys in this conflict and c) I only wish that the Arabs cared more for their children and cared less to hate us.

There are verified stories about soldiers finding bombs and bomb-making material at checkpoints -- including suicide bomb belts hidden in an ambulance carrying a man in need of (Israeli) medical care. If the soldier had not stopped to search that ambulance, many, many Israelis -- Arabs and Jews -- could have been murdered. How would you deal with this dilemma, Ben? BTW, I would expect someone with such strong opinions use actual evidence rather than saying that "many, many, many, many" Palestinians have died waiting at checkpoints. But of course, you don't use evidence, because there is none. It's a lie.
