The F-22 is not against Israel. It is to send a message to Iran that we mean business (USA) and they better negotiate in good faith or we will take them out. The F-22 is probably a generation ahead of any Israeli plane and 2-3 generations ahead of any Iranian plane and will do a much better job than what ever Israel has backed up by a strategic bomber force that is second to none.

Those who serve in the Armed Forces of the United States have huge respect for Israel and the IDF. No Air Force in the world would want to tangle with the IDF. Not even ours. Well, we all saw just what Iran was not able to achieve against a vastly inferior Iraq. Which is to say -- absolutely nothing, unless you think that losing one million troops is an "achievement." Do you REALLY think that Iran stands a chance against the United States? Or Israel? Or the European Union? Anyone of those entities can squash Iran like a bug.
