I agree an Iran strike is extremely risky. That's why Israel should rely primarily on ground commandos instead of the air force. That way, Israel can destroy Iran's nuclear infrastructure without risking a significant part of the air force, and preventing the US from being able to militarily stop it. When Iran retaliates, send small squads of jets at Iran's missile bases. This will ensure only a few aircraft at the most get downed, while the Arrow and Patriot missile systems will stop most of Iran's missiles. I think that a strike should be postponed until Israel gets a good David's Sling network and the planned number of Iron Domes on all fronts. But Israel should attack if Iran continues unabated, and if there is proof that Iran is about to enter a "zone of invulnerability" or is about to produce its first nuke, the IDF should not hesitate to take Iran's nuclear program out.
