1. Lieberman is ...
Jules   (05.01.12)
... a staunch patriot of Israel, fighting for the territorial and national integrity of the country. This is an unforgivable sin in the eyes of "peaceniks" who have managed to push the country to that brink of collapse. The elections of 2009 have saved the country, because Lieberman supported Netanyahu who became the Prime-Minister as a result.
2. weinstein and lieberman
marv   (05.01.12)
weinstein had better be sure of reasonable chance of conviction if he is going to indict. lieberman is one of hte very few strong israel defenders. If he leaves the scene, who are you left with--bibi whose heart is in the right place yet who wilts under pressure;barak who is a serial appeaser whose recent record on the marmora, assad and terror are weak and weaker; olmert, a piece of cowardly drek;mofaz whose is a dumb as a doorknob;peres, who is in delugional fantasy;lapid who is a communications olmert, fulll of himself and a know nothing; beilin and ben ami- 2 pacifist dumbbells. If weinstein removes the one israel ml patriot, then israel might as well as give up and disband to other countries. Bibi on his own cannot take tough decisons.
3. Once more the US is using Israels left to rule Israel
I care for Israel   (05.01.12)
If Iran is in trouble - they tell their terror groups to start troubles in Lebanon. If the USA dont get their will, they tell the political left in Israel to attack the Israeli government. The US government is a dictatorship like China, Russia etc and by no means democracy. Dont worry - everbody attacking Israel pays the price - everybody, Mr Obama !
4. About time the thug from Moldavia was behind bars
Haim ,   TA   (05.01.12)
5. i hope
Fad Egypt   (05.01.12)
that Lieberman is not going to be indicted for anything and i hope that he will remain in politics as the state of Israel needs him he is a brilliant guy although he has some left wing positions but in general he is a great man God bless him shalom
6. We are getting a bad reputation internationally because of..
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (05.01.12)
thugs like Lieberman. I say lock him up and throw the keys...
7. That's what you get
(05.01.12)
when you start up with orthodox Rabbis and trying to force haredim to join secular anti-Torah immoral army.
8. i hope he runs back to russia
abdalla   (05.01.12)
9. Corruption not an ideological issue
Avramele   (05.01.12)
Left or right a crook is a crook is a crook. Lieberman should be booted out of public life for the sake of the nation's self respect. Olmert's resignation was a tragedy to the peace process but it was the correct thing. Rabin resigned his first PM term over a rather small overseas bank account. Yvette tops them and even Deri in terms of the stench of his actions. Bounce him from politics.
10. Smells Fishy
Joe sombrero ,   Usa   (05.01.12)
All this suddenly comeing back into focus after him calling for elections. Sounds like the United States trying to put pressure on Lieberman. More foreign interference. Sounds Fishy.
11. Not political - Criminal!
A Jerusalemite ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (05.01.12)
Pay attention people. This is not a political issue but a criminal one. If there is enough evidence to indict then indicted he should be and not excused because of his political stance.
12. no one is above the law
morris ,   jerusalem   (05.01.12)
i have to agree with #11 this is not a political issue but a civil and criminal one and he just like any other person in this country is not above the law and he should be prosecuted for the scum bag that he is
13. #8 - Lieberman is not Russian and no moral turpitude
michael redbourn ,   Arad Israel   (05.01.12)
One sentence and you got it wrong :-( Lieberman will most likely sign a plea bargain which will close the case and allow the State to get off the hook without any major embarrassment. The plea bargain won't involve moral turpitude which means that Lieberman will be able to be a minister or prime minister. Guttman, who served in the National Fraud Unit for 21 years said the image of Lieberman portrayed in the press was very different from the man he had encountered in person. "The man is, in my opinion, the fastest-thinking suspect politician the police have had to face. He will come prepared". "Lieberman does not hide behind his right to remain silent. He won't confess, either. He will give full answers and send police abroad looking for evidence," Guttman said. "He does not stutter, and he is not like Olmert, saying he doesn't remember this or that. He has all the facts in his head, and he does not refer to documents when answering questions".
14. 6 Sarah B "lock him up"...
ORA ,   JERUSALEM   (05.01.12)
without judgment? Amazing comment, coming from you.
15. This is the 6th time in 11 years that they are almost
Eric ,   Tel Aviv & New York   (05.01.12)
This is the 6th time in 11 years when they are almost ready to indite him. Either they have had enough and stalled or they don't have enough but enough is enough indite or aquit but stop dragging this on at the tax payers expense.
16. #6 - Sarah B.
rom ,   israel   (05.01.12)
Please tell us that this comment was from someone else posting as you. If it really was you, I simply cannot believe that you would have such a disgusting point of view.
17. #9, #11, #12 reality check
israel israeli ,   tel aviv   (05.01.12)
In Israel, corruption is an ideological issue. Compare the unlimited resources invested in investigating Deri, Lieberman and Netanyahu to the total lack of effort in investigating known corruption cases like Weizman, Sharon, Herzog and Barak not to mention the Goldfarb incident. Whether or not Lieberman is corrupt, he is being investigated only because of his political views. All he has to do to end the investigation is call for ethnic cleansing of Jews.
18. Avgador Liberman won't be prosecuted!
zad   (05.01.12)
There must be a terrible demon which wants Israeli laeders to be sued, indicted, prosecuted and imprisoned. Former President Moshe Kassav is in prison because of alkleged rape. Former PM Ehud Olmert is not yet off the hook from indictment. Because they couldn't indict Ariel Sharon who is still in coma they went for his son Omri. The powerful general Yoav Galant missed his chance to be the Chief of Staff just because he once annexed a piece of land adjacent to his own land! Come on JEWS in ISRAEL, enough is enough! When will you stop persecuting yor own leaders? This demon of witchhunt that targets able leaders in Israel will destroy Israel if it is not stopped. Please leave Avgador Leberman alone! Eleven years of investigation, i never heard of a such similar situation in any other country. The Israeli Police, Israeli courts, and Israeli politically Left need prayers and fasting to defeat this demon who wants to behead Israeli from within. Well, i will pray and fast for Avigador Leiberman so that all plot and conspirancy be nullified in JESUS CHRIST Name! Will you join me?
19. still waiting for Abu Mazen persecution for money froud
anna m sedda ,   rome_Italy   (05.01.12)
..before everyone else in this free WORLD; we need to investigate where the money given by Israel,EU,USA given to Palestinians and never used for it... after we can investigate everyone else...funny how terrorist are never investigate and we tend to get rid of our best men for fake reasons...

21. This man is in the faaar right. This gov't will excuse him
Jon ,   Baltimore US   (05.01.12)
22. Sarah B message at 6
Moragh   (05.01.12)
I don't believe for one moment that Sarah B wrote that message. She is more dignified. That sounds more like what a Pali would write!
23. Zad @ 18
Moragh   (05.01.12)
