Absolutely these are news worthy--if you had rockets landing near you and your family wouldn't you want the news to cover it. Just because there is no damage or loss of life does not mean that it does not affect all those in that area psychologically and emotionally which is often time a lot worse!! Think of the men, women and children who had NO bomb shelter to run into in Gaza during Operation Cast Lead. They new that the precision guided Israeli missiles WOULD hit them or their family. Israel typically would not allow the International media into Gaza during Cast Lead, because they knew if the world could see what they were doing to the people of Gaza, all hell would break lose against Israel and Gaza. It was lucky that a TV crew were "stuck" in there, and magnificently reported the truth, and I watched horrified and infuriated for the 22 days!

Eg: Assad has butchered his people for over 1 year.. killing over 10,000 with 250,000 people missing.. he bombs and shoots anything and anyone that disagress with him.... see youtube for great footage... but alas muslims and their aussie thinker type friends... are quiet.....
