DA URBAN POET ,   SAFED OPERA HOUSE   (05.03.12)
Yesh Atid ( there is a future ) or the end of the world ,as stated in your other article about one in seven people believing the end is nigh.
2. What about the secular avoiders?
Aviela ,   Migron, Israel   (05.03.12)
Okay, so he has a plan for the chareidim that avoid army service. What about the secular population that is increasingly (alarmingly so!) avoiding army service? No plan for that?
3. Yesh Atid
Mike Carmel ,   Rishon le Zion   (05.03.12)
The party's name is a bit "heavy" sounding. He should have called it "Atidenu" which is a bit more "catchy" and straightforward.
4. Do we really
Sarah B. ,   U.S.A./Israel   (05.03.12)
need this now?
5. STOP BITING THE HAND THAT’S FEEDING YOUR WAYWARD SOUL.

Yeshiva students are sharing in the defense of Israel MORE than the secular, and you know that. But by sitting and learning Torah the government has a hard time uprooting traditional Judaism and creating people free from the yoke of Torah. Lapid, don’t be an ingrate. You know the Haredi Torah learners are carrying YOU and not the other way around. There wouldn’t even be a Jewish Hebrew speaking Lapid or Barak or Sharon if not for your Talmud learning grandparents.
6. Even HAMAS ....
Jules   (05.03.12)
... have recently admitted that they're just descendants of Egyptian and Saudi Arabs. What "Palestinians" is Lapid talking about?

8. A #5
A Jerusalemite ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (05.03.12)
Our Torah learning grandparents also worked for a living they didn't sponge off of the rest of the population by living on our taxes!

That's hypocrisy !
10. Oh cool
Lawrence ,   Or Yehuda   (05.03.12)
I am encouraged to work!!!! How about the availability of jobs? Or better yet how about a job where we work and can still live on what we make?

Keen Observer ,   Israel   (05.03.12)
This handsome gentleman has hardly finished his High School.Later wanted to Buy his Phd degree from the Bar Ilan University is hardly in a position to dictate our great Nation with his opinion.
13. who is going to pay for all these lofty social reforms??????
(05.03.12)
Clearly, it will be us the MIDDLE CLASS. So, be careful what young wish for...
14. 2 states for two people AKA no Arabs
Golan ,   modiin   (05.03.12)
a two states solution for two peoples is a Jewish Israel and an Arab Balestine. That means no Arabs in Israel. Not in Jerusalem, not in Yaffo, not in Haifa, not in Beersheva. Otherwise its a yet another vile violent Arab state and a binational Israel.
15. Rabin, Peres, Barak, Bibi, Sharon, Olmert these are their po
zionist forever   (05.03.12)
Getting the haredi into the army and workplace. How many years have we been talking about that one now, I seem to remember Bibi saying something like this only about two weeks ago. Housing, education, healthcare, improving the middle class economic situation. Sounds pretty much like Trajtenberg to me and what the social justice protestors were demanding last year but Lapid would have us believe its his revolutionary idea. Electoral reform, he doesn't say how he is going to do it and if he is talking about it he obviously isn't looking for anything to drastic otherwise we would lose the single issue parties like his. Livni & Kadima, some members of Likud they have all been talking about electoral reform for a while now but once again we are expected to believe its another revolutionary Lapid idea. Peace with the palestinians and keeping settlement blocks. Rabin, Peres, Bibi, Barak, Sharon, Olmert, Clinton, Bush and even Obama have all of them have been saying this since 1993 when oslo was signed. Don't forget though this is revolutionary idea from Lapid. Lapid is just trying to tell the secular middle classes on the left and center all the things they want to hear even if non of his policies are his own.
16. Uninspiring platform
Israella   (05.03.12)
I am not convinced that these few goals would sway the masses to vote for Lapid - is this the best he can come up with for our future?

Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (05.03.12)
Congratulations! You've been trolled. I did not compose the post at No. 4. By the way -- "'We' is us?" Your time would be better spent observing a text on English grammar and usage. And it is "i.e.," by the way. There! I've started you on your usage lessons! I am SO kind.

zionist forever   (05.03.12)
Maybe his plans to improve the education system for the middle classes is to buy them all a PHD. I am sure there are plenty of people who would love it if the government passed a law ordering Bar Ilan to give them all a PHD.
20. Lapid Party
Lynn ,   Knoxville, USA   (05.03.12)
Is it needed now? Of course it is. After all, big egos are at play here (Lapid's ego). And which is more important, Lapid's ego or the well-being of the country? Clearly, to Lapid, his ego.

I will vote for the Sarah B party if you form it.

Raptor   (05.03.12)
We have KADIMA that went bakwards. We have ATID that no doubt will stand still and then retreat. All we now need is Tsipi to join them with ONWARDS that will start in reverse. What a bunch of self serving fools.
