1. how many times have we heard nothing to worry about before
zionist forever   (05.03.12)
When the authorities don't have the answers be it the army or the political establishment to avoid panic the story is always its no danger to human health and later on people get sick and the people at the top say we got it wrong it was dangerous. I suggest if your out in the streets of Tel Aviv right now cover up just incase there is more to this than we have been told.
2. Why has there not been an immediate warning, followed by anal
exUK ,   TEl Aviv   (05.03.12)
If the smell was first noticed near Azrieli centre,it is unlikely to have originated elsewhere. There is the Army headquarters across the road from there. Is there a connection? WE need answers and assurances quickly. It IS something. What is it?
3. Drilling I don't believe it
Joe sombrero ,   Usa   (05.03.12)
Ive lived near Gas Wells in the past and I have never seen or heard of this. Chlorine Smell? Gas is oderless unless a scent is added to warn of leaks. Haaretz shows a haze does not make any sense.
4. Bad smells
Roxy ,   Israel   (05.03.12)
Have been all too common here too in Haifa bay, all smells generated by the near by petrochem plants , hate the smell of gas station when the winds blow the wrong way!

6. May be it is the chemical pied piper
Cynic #2   (05.03.12)
to eradicate rats in sewers but gone out of control, or may be it is a chemical warfare drill to test the responses of the people.
7. It wouldn't surprise me if the Home Front Command did this
John Resno ,   Mevo Modiim, Israel   (05.03.12)
A simulated chemical attack for a field test of the Home Front Command's responsiveness doesn't seem too far fetched.
8. It was a Syrian fart that flew over
Maxim ,   ISRAEL FOREVER!   (05.03.12)
the border and made a happy spring landing in Israel. Nothing to worry about amigos. It is just a lousy cross border fart.
9. #7, I second that
Bill Bailey ,   Israel   (05.03.12)
That was actually my first thought after I heard that "nobody" knew what was going on.
10. Sarah B, pleeeeeeeease...
Avi ,   Israel   (05.04.12)
Israel lacks the strategic depth to absorb your farts. I.D.F might wrongly interpret the resulting foul odors as a chemical attack by Hezbollah... We do NOT need a third Lebanon war at this time...
11. Is that why the Iranian was watching us
Israeli 2   (05.04.12)
with his binoculars from the Lebanese border?
