He is all of us. He is just a guy that represents every kid who wants to live and enjoy life. He represents what the israeli society must be, a kid who is just a kid. He is showing to the arab world and the whole world that he does not want to live his life in order to kill Hamas people but to enjoy his. He represents the difference between we and them. He represents a society that progress against a society that keeps themselves in refugee camps. He should be an embassador of good will and teach the world that Israelis do not look for comfrontation, but for progress and enjoying life. If all the arab prisioners that were freed were like him then the Middle East would be completely different. Yes, leave hime alone enjoying his life, he is still 21, he deserves.

Gilad is not a celeb in your jealous eyes but he is very special to the rest of the world who knows and can only try to understand his 5 year plight in the hands of terrorists. I can't honestly say that even now Gilad looks good... failing that maybe it is the cameras but Gilad is not yet over his 5 year Hamas plight and I feel so sorry for him. The big question is: will he ever get beyond his ordeal. Hard to tell but it will certainly take a very long time still. Nobody knows what Gilad feels inside and possibly nobody will ever know how much he has suffered. After 5 horrendous years he can not be expected to simply snuff it out. Gilad is a simple young man in need of an horrific amount of attention and I'm sure his entire family will supply all he needs until things in his life gets better. Good luck Gilad, and if you enjoy singing along... do so! To all these horrid jealous people....... go get a life!!!

He saw no sunlight, and had no idea when, or if, he would ever be freed from his dungeon! A short spell of this would drive most people insane... Even at the end, during that appalling forced interview, he displayed courage and humility that would put most of us to shame... He is NOT a regular you and me... He is a HERO for enduring what he endured, taken into captivity while serving to defend your freedom...
