1. Netanyahu's positions were clear anyway so what's cooking?
Lynx ,   Palestine   (05.12.12)
In the face of stubborn Israeli settlement expansion Abbas is powerless until Obama is re-elected. However it's doubtful whether Obama will be able to broker a deal, let alone enforce it. Conclusion: The PA is killing time until the binational State is either declared or brought about by spectacular regional events. In the meantime apartheid and human rights abuses will persist in the OPT.
2. negotiations :):)
Yosef Y. MSc' ,   USA   (05.12.12)
Every one has to go through the motions, every so often, but the permanent constipation afflicting the Palis will only get more solid. Wow !!!
3. #1. PA "killing time" as fictional Palestine is buried.
Chaim ,   Israel   (05.12.12)
#1 Lynx. You're correct about one thing. Israel will always build and expand our communities in our ancestral heartland of Judea and Samaria. We will soon have more than a million Jews there. So what exactly is the PA "killing time" for? The answer: till the concept of fictional Palestine is buried once and for all. Which has pretty much been achieved now. Another Palestine statehood declaration would likely be greeted with discreet laughter.
4. To: Chaim at No. 3
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (05.12.12)
Not too sure about the "discreet" part. One would have thought that the ersatz "Palestinians" might have learned their lesson from the humiliating spanking they received at the United Nations last fall. I guess not. But instead of crawling back to the negotiating table with Israel, beggar's bowl in hand, they continue to issue "demands." Downright funny.
5. Palestinian country was always to be fragmented
Eric ,   Tel Aviv & NY   (05.12.12)
Given that Judea and Gaza are separated by Israel, it was always going to be a fragmented country with a 5 hour drive between the 2 parts should there be a way to offer them a land connection that does not threaten Israel. All this talk about a contiguous state was never on the table and has been used as an excuse to avoid negotiations.

In the face of stubborn non-acceptance of Israel by the arabs, and their stubborn teaching of their children that Jews are apes and pigs and its ok to kill them, Israel insists on defending itself. Arabs vote in Israel and are represented in the Knesset. An arab judge sits on the supreme court. Hamas' stated goal is to kill all the Jews. Abbas has said that any "Palestine " will be judenrien. Also that the “refugees” will not be allowed to live in the WB. Who is the racist? (Hint: it ain't Israel.) Conclusion: Apartheid and human rights abuses will persist...in the WB and gaza. Read some history, then post.
7. This Whole Situation For Bibi And The Israeli
(05.12.12)
Government having to chase abu mazen and his p.a. IS FUTILE! THE ONUS SHOULD BE PLACED on abu mazen and his arab buddies With A Time Line For them to ACCEPT or decline Period. After this deadline then the Israeli Government and people can Annex All Disputed Lands and Move forward Without world opinion. What other Nation in the world is or has been in a quagmire since 1948? Israel and Israel Only. Exercise Your Rights, you Israel and Jewish people Have Contributed Immencely For The Betterment Of Humanity, and the make-believe people what have they contributed to the region let alone to Humanity? שבת שלום
8. There only has to be one word on that response letter

Settlement building must stop! Pretty simple eh? You have to stop appropriating land which is not yours. It is occupied "disputed" in your words. The US must enforce this stipulation. The Palestinians were certainly not humiliated by the UN vote last year, but rather Israel felt very threatened, and realised just how much support Palestine has for the 2 state solution. Having a 3rd party to decide how security would be made and maintained is sensible. The P.A. with a beggars bowl in their hand Sarah? No. More like a dove of peace that you want to kill!

Some “thinker”. The land is now back with the rightful owners. The land thieves came from arabia in the 600's CE arab conquest, with many coming in the early 1900's in response to a better economy (due to the influx of additional Jews in the late 1800's), and even more in 1947 when Jordan wanted arabs to take the place of the Jews (who had been there for centuries) were kicked out. Your statements have nothing to do with the real problem vis-a-vis a two state solution, or any solution for that matter. The problem is the "Pals" rejection of any discussion with Israel, whatsoever. They may deign to talk with Israel...after Israel agrees to what they want (before discussions). Some ‘peace talks’. Bulletin: There is no arab peace dove. Most statements re: peace talks, or two-state solution (such as yours), are directed at Israel. If people would face facts, reality, they would be speaking to the spoilers; the "Pals". Their statements about peace talks (and peace in general) are a charade. Read some history, then post. Pretty simple, eh?
