Even Taiwan, Palestine and other non-recognised States are not denied such basic human rights. The Turkish Cypriots have stated that no side should exploit the natural resources of the Cypriot peoples up until a resolution is found to the Cyprus problem. Both the Greek AND Turkish Cypriots have rights over the WHOLE of the islands resources as stipulated in the Constitution of the Republic of Cyprus, 1960 and the Treaty of Guarantee. (1) The Turkish Republic of Northern is a member of the world's second largest international organisation after the United Nations: the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC). (2) Taiwan is also not recognised by a majority of world powers who follow the One China Policy. It is still sovereign.
