This case won't come to trial. No need to put the Patz family through additional agony. The case will be pleaded out. All that remains now is to ensure that this vile murderer be consigned to a maximum security prison. It is important that he be housed in general population. Child molesters and child murderers just don't do terribly well in American prisons. Justice WILL be served.

Yes, the Patz family is Jewish. But why would that matter? A case that had gone unsolved for thirty-three years is now solved. Bittersweet at best -- the Patz family clung to the hope that Etan (z"l) had been kidnapped and might someday return -- but closure nonetheless. I hope the Patz family finds peace, somehow.
