1. What next Jews for Jesus "Rabbis"?

As a committed Conservative/Masorti Jew, I can assure you that affiliated non-Orthodox Jews do not view "Judaism as a joke". I identify as Conservative because I believe that halacha continues to evolve as it always has, and because I believe in gender equality. Every affiliated Jew I know is committed to Judaism and Jewish values. Not being Haredi doesn't make our Judaism less authentic; if wearing 17th Century European clothing and refusing to support Israel is more Jewish, how many of our biblical and historical would be Jewish enough for MK Gafni?

Today, I am proud to be an Israeli! Israel is the Jewish state, and must be home to all of the Jewish people. Eize Yofi!!!

You do indeed see Judaism as a joke, which can 'evolve' and is subject to 'gender equality'. You go against thing explicitly forbidden by the Torah. In short you don't believe in Judaism ut your own, self-constructed moral code.

Inh addition to Conservative and Reform there are also Reconstructionists, Liberals and Progressives. Will there be parallel Ashkenazic and Sephardic Conservative, Reform rabbis etc. Will there be parallel Chief Rabbis for every 'stream'? A parallel Beth Din for each stream? Will there be Reform hechsherim for kashrus?

Did you ever read megillah 23a in talmud bavli? Although i'm orthodox and don't understand the liberal and masorti jews, it is simply wrong to say things like you did.

If Judaism and halakha didn't evolve, it would have been lost after the destruction of the Mishkan. If halakha didn't evolve, we wouldn't permit the Deaf to marry or count in a minyan, we wouldn't give aliyot to the blind, etc. Read Megilla 24b, which discusses whether a kohen with a defect that would disqualify him from raising his hands to dukhen is permitted to because the community knows and honors him as an individual. Studying Jewish history and halakha, one has to conclude that halakha has evolved and continues to evolve. The particulars are up for debate, but I believe we should all be respectful of one another. "The laws of the Torah were not established in the world except that there should be compassion, love, and peace in the world." (Rambam, Laws of the Sabbath 2:3).

They've already destroyed American Jewry, so we don't need them here.
11. This is HUGE!
Aharon ,   Holon, Israel   (06.01.12)
I do not know how this will ultimately shape our small little country, but I hope for the good. This is HUGE! This very well could lead to a more inclusive unifying thing for Jews in Israel and all over the world! At least, I hope...

Your pseudonym demonstrates once again that fundamentalists have no sense of irony.
