1. but the Ayatollahs love peace !
(06.06.12)
Waiting for Obama/American help is like waiting for Godot. During 1944, Jews were helpless..the USA never came to help despite repeated appeals. Now Israel is not helpless and should take action quickly against Iran. Don't fall for Obama's syrupy words, sanctions and rationality won't work against fanatics & madmen. One has to help themselves. Once bitten, be TWICE shy !
2. Obama is Saudi’s royal family whore
Arthur ,   SF, CA   (06.06.12)
3.  palestonians "good will gestures"?
raanan ,   moshav, israel   (06.06.12)

Nils ,   Hamburg, Germany   (06.06.12)
Read the interview Bibi granted the German tabloid "Bild".
5. Palestinians NEVER wants Peace!
Iraj ,   Iran   (06.06.12)
If Obama wishes to have his hoagies and delude himself about "windows of opportunity", it never existed. THey want the Jews out of Israel so they can "act like cannibals, " as they do all over the Mideast. What else is new!
6. Do not trust this president.
Mike L. ,   USA   (06.06.12)
Jewish people cannot afford to trust any American president who believes that he has the right to tell us where we may, or may not, be allowed to live in Jerusalem.
7. Duh, Ya think!!
Chaim ,   Arad   (06.06.12)
Hot off the press: Obama has a revelation that shakes the world; Abbas may not want peace!! Imagine that. There is just no end to Obama's intelligence.
8. obumma arrogantly promised peace in two years. Seems he
Bunnie Meyer ,   Los Angeles, CA USA   (06.06.12)
overestimated his ability by a dozen centuries.
9. Listen up Israelis, Obama knows what's best for you
(06.06.12)
after all, he probably knows more about Judaism than any other U.S. president in history.
10. Obama deludes Jews, once again!
Benny ,   Israel   (06.06.12)
Obama , deludes the world into believing there are 5 million Muslims in America -- where in effect the population survey shows it is more like 2 to 3 million. He wants to create the illusion of Islamic Power because he considers himself to be Muslim. This self-serving President will say anything & delude anyone to buy their votes!
11. Appalling
Pinhas Bayit ,   Bet HaKerem   (06.06.12)
It is appalling that of the 6 current Talkbacks one - number 2 - was allowed to be published at all, and two others can't spell in English.
12. they want PIECE - not PEACE
Phyllis ,   Tel Aviv   (06.06.12)
Finally someone wakes up. The Jordanian refugees (now called Palestinians - a name with no connection to the land of Palestine) only want PIECE - and not PEACE.
13. Imbecille - I Quote -
Arn. ,   Sweden.   (06.06.12)
Obama: Abbas may not want peace In meeting with Orthodox Jewish leaders, US president says he fears window of opportunity in peace process may be closing, worries that Palestinians no longer interested in advancing peace Comment - Has Palestinians ever been interested in advancing pease ? Arn.Sweden.
14. Odd
Baruch Jamili ,   Bat Yam   (06.06.12)
Putting aside the unforgivable comment from number 2, I note the President's choice of the word 'coexistence' to describe relations between his administration and ours. How can there be progress in any peace process if the relationship between us and our mots important and influential ally is expressed this way? After publicly berating the President and pretty well flouting his promises over settlement expansion and making a mockery of the 2 state solution, the message from the Prime Minister is that by word and deed he isn't interested in a peace process. The status quo suits him, even if it offers us no vision, no future.
15. Thank you Mr Obama
Keren, IL-BR   (06.06.12)
Because of you Israel is still under the threat of Iran. Because of you Jews live in fear in the US and Europe. Because of you Israel's economy is weaking. The damage you've brought to our land is tremendous. I just hope G-D will punish you severely.
16. #11 - Pinhas Bayit
Devorah   (06.06.12)
Try not to be so appalled. Obama will be just about anybody's whore for the right price and as long as it runs counter to Torah.
17. I'm skeptical
Noodles ,   Coney Island   (06.06.12)
To say the least.
18. No surprise there
Haider ,   Gothenburg, Sweden   (06.06.12)
Obama cannot afford to alienate the Jewish voters and Israel cannot survive without the US Aid of all kind. Is that so difficult to understand? On the other hand, Israel is the only democratic country in tha region. The question is, why doesn´t it apply that democracy to the Palestinians?
19. Palestinians want peace
Palestinian   (06.06.12)
israel was founded by gangs of Irgun, Hagana and Stern. israelis of Europe live in Palestinians' homes need to acknowledge that so peace can be possible.
20. Naaah!The Pals DO want piece. The whole piece nothing less
Alan ,   SA   (06.06.12)
21. 16. Conflation
Pinhas Bayit ,   Bet HaKerem   (06.06.12)
I love a good conflation of a morning - Torah, whore, price. The 'elected' government of Israel is lead by a man who takes the art of professional prostitution and public unaccountability to brand new heights - the recent avoidance of the electorate to change the composition of the cabinet - to say nothing of those lovely nationalist and religious fanatics in his cabinet who know nothing about accountability, a lot about the right price for their own interests, paid for out of the revenues we provide via our taxes - some of them have been tried or are about to be indicted for corruption - and apply Torah only to themselves.
22. "Burning need" to solve the conflict?
Logic ,   Israel   (06.06.12)
So according to this logic, there is now a burning need to reach an agreement with the PA who doesn't want to reach an agreement. At least we have a strong basis for confidence in giving up assets because of recent US policy in Egypt. Now there's a track record to make irreversible risks upon!
23. how can you tell there is an election in 5 months?
zionist forever   (06.06.12)
The US Jews are some of Obama's biggest supporters but he is not the biggest fan of AIPAC these days because he has been so anti Israel for the bulk of his presidency. The solution to win them all back is support the peace process ( as the Jews do ) but don't blame its failure on Israel so Jews don't feel he is constantly siding with the arabs and feel a conflict. If he wins the election there will be hell to pay for Israel because Bibi hasn't been saying how high when Obama has been saying jump and because he doesn't need to worry about reelection so he can do what them hell he likes to Israel. Romney you better come up with some revolutionary ideas and give the American people what they want or else Obama will be living in the White House after the election.
24. #19
Anonymouse ,   The World   (06.06.12)
Stop. Rewind. Learn some history. Think again.
25. IF HU$$EIN WANT$ WAR!
pharaoh   (06.06.12)
26. BAROCK PEACE NOBEL PRIZE? JA JA JA JA JA!
pharaoh   (06.06.12)
27. #21 - Pinhas Bayit
Devorah   (06.06.12)
Well, since you changed the subject from Obama to Netanyahu, let me just say I agree with you in part. Believe me, I'm not thrilled with everything. Enough with the conflations. I hope your day is filled with good vibrations.
28. The Arabs only understand strength
Scott ,   Ramat Gan, Israel   (06.06.12)
They views any concessions as a sign of weakness. The only way there will be peace is with a strong Israel & strong pressure from the U,S.
29.  meeting with Orthodox Jewish leaders
Kim ,   Nicholasville   (06.06.12)
This is how Netanyahu was "snubbed". Obama refused to take picture with him, no press conference, no state dinner, and no handshakes, Obama left the prime minister sitting alone in the Oval Office while he went to have dinner in the White House with his family. Now that election time is here he is pro - Israel. Not
30. #19 What peace do Palestinians want?
Sam ,   Canada   (06.06.12)
Palestinians want Israel to give them a Palestinian state while they themselves reject a Jewish majority state. Does that make any sense to you? The Palestinian idea of peace sounds like rubbish to Jews. Palestinians seem interested only in themselves with no consideration as to what Jews want.
