31. #30 Evidence? Let's see now.
Jake   (06.08.12)
1. 1922 Palestine Mandate Document + Transjordanian Memorandum established boundary of Jewish National Home at Jordan River. 2. UN Charter article 80 recognizes continued legal entitlement. 3. Palestine Partition Plan, a non binding recommendation, was rejected by Arabs by force. 4. 1949 Armistice Agreements established no international boundaries. Arabs wanted it that way. 5. Res. 242 established no territorial depth to which Israel should withdraw. 6. 4th Geneva Covention, Article 49 has nothing to do with voluntary settlement. 7. There is no country called "Palestine". Shall I go on?
32. # 30 It is true
Daniel Steinmovitz ,   Kiriat Ono   (06.08.12)
You are right. I never thought about this. Even in 2000 Barak offered Samaria, Judea and East Jerusalem. But had Arabs accepted the Partition we not even would have Jerusalem...
33. #30. Eugene Rostow versus Anonymous Poster #30.
Chaim ,   Israel   (06.08.12)
#30. You can repeat fiction as many times as you want. That won't make it true. Israel's ownership of Judea and Samaria has been incontrovertibly proven by countless international law experts. Such as Eugene Rostow, author of U.N. Resolution 242. And David M. Phillips, Professor Northeastern University School of Law. So on one side, we have the likes of Eugene Rostow and Prof. David M. Phillips. On the other, we have Anonymous Poster #30. Who is right? LOL. Even the terrorist P.A. refused MK Danny Ayalon's challenge to publicly debate Judea and Samaria. Even they know Judea and Samaria belong to Israel.
34. # 31 History learning
Keren IL-BR   (06.08.12)
Sorry, Jake, but your leaning-comprehension skills are insufficient. 1. Jewish National Home does not mean State. Means Homeland. That's why Jews quickly accepted the Peel partition without Jerusalem: better to keep something small than nothing. 2. Article 80 just assumed the commitment with a homeland. The rest is your wishful thinking. 3. 1949 Armistice Agreement became the basis for future negotiations. Not even the Israeli leadership dismiss this in the negotiation process. Keep these numbers in your head: 1967. 4. So what? They changed their view. Also Israelis changed their view in relation to the West Bank. If you remember, 3 days after the war, Eshkol offered the WB back in exchange for peace... no you don't know that for sure. Google Khartoon Conference. 5. Yes it did. Read it again. You will see the numbers 1967. Can you read French? 6.If you dont see the support of the Israeli State in the settlement adventure, so i can no longer argue with you. 7. Of course there is. It is recognized by 120 countries. I think more than the countries that recognize Israel. Still Israel exists. Jake, you failed again, dude. =
35. #34. It's all over for fictional Palestine.
Chaim ,   Israel   (06.08.12)
#34. Spewing insults won't make your very weak arguments any stronger. Israel's claim to Judea and Samaria has been incontrovertibly proven by many of the world's leading international law experts. In fact, even the terrorist P.A. won't publicly debate the issue. Israel is no bound by any foolish concessions offered by former Prime Ministers. That is plain foolishness. Perhaps 120 countries recognize fictional Palestine. That's about as meaningful as the millions of small children who recognize Oz. "Palestinian" poseurs have tried repeatedly to declare statehood. It is always an absolute disaster. If they make another statehood declaration, it is likely to be greeted with discreet laughter. It's all over for fictional Palestine.
36. #22 Keren, Very well said, solid logic & facts. Thank you.
Michael ,   California, USA   (06.08.12)
37. #34, Teach them history, black and white. They are hopeless.
Michael ,   California, USA   (06.08.12)
38. #34 MIchael. Learn a little basic history yourself.
Chaim ,   Israel   (06.08.12)
#37 Michael. Learn a little basic history yourself. Starting with the most basic fact of all. There has never been a state of Palestine. Judea and Samaria have belonged to Jews for more than 3,500 years. Jewish ownership of Judea and Samaria has been incontrovertibly proven by many of the world's foremost international law experts. Even the terrorist P.A. won't debate the issue in public; as MK Danny Ayalon challenged them to. The bottom line: There is no genuine legal argument for fictional Palestine.
39. 37 A lot of chutzpah among israelis
Keren IL-BR   (06.09.12)
But I live here and love the country. Believe me, Michael, Israel within the Green Line is a wonderful country. Most of us are normal decent people that feel ashamed with the situation of the Territories. Still there's no stamina to change this anymore.
40. #38 Chaim, you are confusing facts and opinions.
Michael ,   California, USA   (06.09.12)
You are a smart man, trying hard to support your subjective interpretations. It cannot work. Take a step back and take a fresh look on the world. The world is different from what you see through your tinted glasses. Take a more objective approach to interpreting history and don't tell us what existed 3,5000 years ago, or even 1,000 years ago, because you don't know it.
41. #39, I agree, Israel within the Gr. Lines is my place also.
Michael ,   California, USA   (06.09.12)
It was so wonderful, so homey, loved so much. Look what Israel has become since then! But there is a way back and it will happen. We don't need to fool ourselves with unrealistic chutzpah.
42. # 39
Birdi ,   Israel   (06.10.12)
''Most of us normal decent people that feel ashamed with the situation of the Territories.'' Did you take a survey of who is for or against the territories? Do you have the figures of your survey? Without those figures you have no right to speak for most Israelis.
43. Kapo
Juif ,   Askelon   (06.17.12)
By what right do you propose a mass expulsion of Jews, the first in the 21st century? The left wants to expel 100,000+ Jews and the Arabs demand the expulsion of all the Jews from Yesha and Jerusalem, some 500,000 jews. A mass expulsion of Jews is a crime against humanity, and treason against the Jewish people.
