Your soldiers can't stop killing themselves in stupid avoidable accidents... Incompetence is the key word here...

Accidents happen its not that they are incompetent or anything it is a tragic accident.

how do u know exactly what happened in the vehicle and around the vehicle to cause the crash. how do u know it was avoidable? i've been driving for a while now and what i have learned in these years is, u cant always avoid accidents. u can be the most attentive driver u can be the most prepared for any situation but an accident is an accident !

Commanders need to seriously begin disciplining soldiers who do miluim in party mode - drinking, smoking, and speeding. Not all, but many.

complete lack of discipline that seems to rule the day on any given day. The truth is that young soldiers are not being properly trained especially when it comes to safety. This is but one tragedy that happens time and time again. Mr Gantz..either do your job and stop playing political games or leave.

The Marines were training for Iraq where I was working back in 2006. One kid was killed when he rolled the Humvee he was driving. Threw him out and crushed him. He was not supposed to be driving that fast or goofing off, which was what he was doing at the time. He attempted to turn a dirt road corner too fast and the Humvee rolled over on-top of him. You have to be going fast in a turn to roll one of those ATV's, just saying.
