another American betrayal...lesson for Israel, don't expect any help from America.
2. Let this be a lesson
Timmy ,   Coventry UK   (06.09.12)
Mubarak is such a wuss, he should be glad that his body isn't being paraded around the streets like Gaddafi's. I hope he gets sentenced to death after his retrial. By the way the only thing this bloodthirsty son of a wh0re deserves is a slit throat and an unmarked grave. Let this be an example to Assad and Natenyahu
3. Mubarak disrespected his people
Nour ,   One State   (06.09.12)
He trampeled on their rights under a phoney emergency law pretext and squandered their money and left them an impoverished banana republic. Mubarak, you will not be missed you traitor!

There are more Americans that see clearly what is REALLY happening in and around Israel than not. Please don't let the actions of a few morons, although LOUD, to cloud your judgment of the majority. My son & I took my lifelong dream trip a year ago, to Israel. I spent an ENORMOUS amount of money on this trip. Once we got there, out of 9 days, we met a total of 4 people that didn't treat us like badly. I came home to America loving the Israeli people more than ever before. I KNOW there are many kind, loving people in Israel than what we actually seen. Your statement would be like me saying the entire country is rude, hateful, mean-spirited, American hating, people!

What he DID do was observe the peace treaty with Israel, thereby preventing more deaths of Israelis and many, many more deaths of Egyptians.
6. Compared to Assad he is a saint
Ilan   (06.09.12)
The Arab world is an exclusive club of dictators and that will not change in the coming years. An easy bet is that five years on Egyptians will curse the day his rule ended
7. Praying for Mubarak's recovery - He does not
miri ,   israel   (06.09.12)
deserve the venom spewed by TB#2-Timmy (you ignoramus) and Nour. How can you mention his name with Gaddafi's, who in any case, should not have been dealt with in a horribly inhumane manner ? Mr. Mubarak may you be allowed to live out yr life outside prison walls.

9. Egypt
Birdi ,   Israel   (06.09.12)
When the muslim brotherhood get their grip on Egypt & run the country, Egyptians will then realize how much they miss Mubarak.
10. Egypt is transititioning towards democracy
Timmy ,   Coventry UK   (06.10.12)
Egyptians have already voted for a parliament, next week a constitutional body will be formed and a democratic constitution will be drafted. Presidential elections shall be taking place on the 16th-17th of June with a president sworn in on the 1st of July. As for Assad, he was Mubarak's buddy. The only difference between the 2 is the military not the dictator. Mubarak ordered the police to fire bullets at protesters, he hired snipers and even went as far as releasing thugs and allowing them to wreak havoc on Tahrir, remember that camel attack.? Mubarak speech after speech mocked protesters and refused to step down at the end it was the militarily that ousted him. In Egypt military service is compulsory and the army isn't dominated by minorities, whereas in Syria Assad's family members control the army and most of the troops are Alawite/christian Bath party members.
11.  Egyptian don't want piece with the zionists!
Timmy ,   Coventry UK   (06.10.12)
Didn't you guys get the message after 2 million Egyptians in Tahrir chanted "We go to Jeruaselem, martyrs in the millions" during the uprising. What about after they stormed the Israeli embassy, beat up the zionist staff, burned the Israeli flag and replaced it with a Palestinian flag. Didn't you guys get the message then???
12. does Mubarak mean before or after his death?

Mubarak kept a level head in very stormy waters - the kind of waters purveyed by 2 & 10 Timmy et al - seasoned Jew-haters probably from birth - how apt that you live in Coventry - were you sent there??

1. It remains to be seen how much democracy Egypt will wind up with, if any, when the Salafis take over and change the system. 2. Egyptians don't want peace but they should wake up and realize what even the cold peace has given them. No war, no deaths. If there will be another war (G-d forbid), it will turn out worse for them than the last few. Didn't you guys get the message after so many Egyptians were killed in Egypt's many defeats, including the last one which began with a surprise attack on Israel?
