My son & I took my lifelong dream trip a year ago, to Israel. I spent an ENORMOUS amount of money on this trip. Once we got there, out of 9 days, we met a total of 4 people that didn't treat us like badly. I came home to America loving the Israeli people more than ever before. Egyptians have already voted for a parliament, next week a constitutional body will be formed and a democratic constitution will be drafted. Presidential elections shall be taking place on the 16th-17th of June with a president sworn in on the 1st of July. As for Assad, he was Mubarak's buddy. 1. It remains to be seen how much democracy Egypt will wind up with, if any, when the Salafis take over and change the system. 2. Egyptians don't want peace but they should wake up and realize what even the cold peace has given them. No war, no deaths.
