1. peri is another loser
etta   (06.09.12)
and if there is a 3rd intifida?? So what. israel will deal with it. generals like barak and sharon erred in doing what peri wanted -concessions to avoid terror. Rather the concessions encouraged terror. smash the arabs if they start up will deal with it so long as israeli are prepared. generals are among the worst leaders for israel as well as civilians who lack any sense of israeli convictions or who are pacifists(peres, olmert, livni, peretz). Peri, you gave your advice, fine, now go about your business and shut up. as if any deal with abbas would be honored by haniyeh??!!- you dumbbells. Theere is no peace with arabs, today, tomorrow, forever.
2. Another hasbeen
Joemoer ,   Israel   (06.09.12)
Getting so tired to reading about another ex something or other letting everyone know what's wrong. Why can't this group just keep it zipped or why does everything they say have to be published
3. Evangelical war drums
mea   (06.09.12)
So, numbers 1 and 2, you think this is an american college football gamer where all you evangelicals have to do is scream louder than the other side. You use the deep, deep analytical thinking associated with say a Palin, and dismiss senior intelligent personal who risk much with their words in order to contribute to the national (not your nation, of course) debate? Why is it you dumb bells cannot focus on your own tiny world in the backwaters and leave complex issue to the experts? Don;t forget to add your locations as "Hicksville/Israel", like you over-identified losers usually do.
4. Terror wave or new intifada
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (06.09.12)
Well, you know, NATO set such a shining example with the deaths of one million civilians in Iraq and seven million civilians in Afghanistan, Israel might just have to take a page out of their book. It will be a very short terror wave and an even shorter intifada. No more Mr. Nice Guy. Bring it on. Watch what happens.
5. Palestine Israel is the only option now
Steve Benassi ,   Silver Bay, MN USA   (06.09.12)
6. P. A. should dissolve
Jim ,   S.A.   (06.09.12)
Then israel will either accept the Arabas as citizens with full rights, or citizens with limited rights or tranfers Arabs out of the country by force. Peace talks are dead.
7. Maybe is thrue but is a...
NATAN ,   ISRAEL   (06.09.12)
very stupid public declaration from peri.
8. He is only capable
E. G. Marsch ,   Nahariya, Israel   (06.09.12)
of perceiving reality in an early-1990s Oslo frame. Even after it caused thousands of Israeli dead, maimed, bereaved, traumatized. Who cares what he thinks. Shut up. He's not capable of thought; he's stuck in some kind of addiction or cognitive paralysis. The first time around he and others like him were able to seduce part of the Israeli people (but to get a "majority" they needed lowly trickery like the Oslo II vote), hopeful for peace, to go along. Now they can't do it anymore. The majority--a genuine majority--has regained its senses after hundreds of suicide bombings and thousands of rocket firings, so all these dinosaur Osloites can do is abuse them.
9. But terror wave started under Rabin and continued thru Peres
ab   (06.09.12)
and Barak era, despite their readiness to submit to pals.. So what he wants, this loser ?
10. who cares about the opinion of this hasbeen ?
(06.09.12)
11. Disgraceful: Muslim Terrorist Abbas is Highly Honored
Linda Rivera ,   New York, USA   (06.09.12)
Abbas financed the massacre of Israeli athletes at the Munich Olympic Games. Why is Muslim terrorist Abbas, respected, heavily financed and received as a honored guest in non-Muslim nations? Why is he not in jail? U.S. Judge William Young's statement to convicted terrorist 'shoe bomber' Richard Reid: We do not negotiate with terrorists. We do not meet with terrorists. We do not sign documents with terrorists. We hunt them down one by one and bring them to justice.
12. Could...
Hansje   (06.09.12)
would...should...., it's not gonna happen!
13. Really Mr. Peri?
M Carr ,   Baltimore, USA   (06.09.12)
"This government has no interest in talking to the Palestinians, period. Let alone resolving anything with them, this is certain," The above quote by Diskin was made in a negative context. But I say Amen! Although Bibi regularly issues flowery platitudes about the “two state solution”, he is steadily creating facts on the ground that will not be reversed. Although the Islamists would love to attack Israel, they understand that if they do not achieve complete victory Bibi would likely use the opportunity to completely crush the Islamic threat. “This is the end of Zionism, we need new leadership." The end of Zionism? New leadership? Really Mr. Yaakov Peri? Really?
14. It takes only one party to make war, but it takes two to
Jehudah Ben-Israel ,   Qatzrin, Israel   (06.09.12)
make peace. And, if one of the party refuse to even come to the table and talk peace - after it has pocketed all the gestures and benefits it could get without making any effort of its own - we must finally realize, internalize and accept the fact that the people whom we face don't actually want to ever reach an accommodation of peaceful coexistence with Israel.
15. Shin Bet information is
SD Charger ,   San Diego   (06.09.12)
usually accurate. Regarding the immigrant problem: In the US, some citizens have taken immigration matters in their own hands, when it comes to protecting their properties along the border. Once the government failed to secure the US property owners side of the border, some Texans set up citizen armed patrols around the clock. The immigrants stopped using their properties as safe passage. You don't know who is behind this new "Exodus" from Africa into Israel, but you can put a stop to their safe passage routes. That is one way of sending a message to the smugglers.
16. #15
shmulke ,   w coast, USA   (06.09.12)
Israel would unfortunately need to retake the Sinai for that to happen.
17. #5. Finally, an intelligent talkback
A ,   Belgium   (06.09.12)
You're absolutely right this time, Benazzi. Palestine has always been Israel.Unfortunately, there are illegal arab squatters from the Arabian peninsula living there who shouldn't be. Good observation!
18. HA!
Naor ,   USA   (06.09.12)
Peri would love to have us believe the Right's policies will bring on a 3rd intifada. Anyone with half a brain knows it is the left's appeasement policies that brought the first two. The Palestinians wouldn't dare launch another intifiada with Bibi and the right in power because they know this time the Israeli government wont respond with kid gloves.
19. what did what's his name achieve when in office? nothing yes

re. letter #3. You say leave it to the "experts". definition of an expert- Ex- a has been. Spert- a drip under pressure
22. Normally the "Historians" wait tens of years to re-write
tom ,   tel aviv   (06.10.12)
history. (Witness the attempts at presenting the Germans as equal victims of war etc.) These Osloites are trying to achieve that (history-distortion) as it happens! No way Jose: today's average Israeli has been "experienced" (to quote Hendrix) and won't buy this manure !
23. No Interest in Talking to the Palestinians
ltrail ,   United States   (06.10.12)
Shin Bet chief Yuval Diskin said, "This government has no interest in talking to the Palestinians, period". The so-called palestinians don't need any nudging or talking to. If Israel budges and gives in to one demand, there are a thousand and one more demands. The palestinians are not a unique entity as their birth nation is a neighbor to Israel. They do not need their own State within Judea or Samaria; nor do they deserve the special status as Observer at the UN. Let them plant their new state in what used to be Transjordan. Good luck.
24. New Terror Wave?
emanon ,   USA   (06.10.12)
I did not know the old one stopped.
25. Such a idiot

27. #13
Stan ,   Israel   (06.10.12)
Yes really mr carr. How come so many senior experts in Israel (not Politicians) agree that if Israel continues to avoid peace talks, it will be the end of the Zionist state. The Palestinians know that if the status quo continues, they will eventually achieve their dream of getting all of Israel. ( I believe that Israel will cease to exist in about 40 years time if the government does not work towards a Two State Solution) TIME IS NOT ON OUR SIDE
28. #20
(06.10.12)
Ralph can you name one country in the world which supports your dream?
29. #28 duh
israel israeli ,   tel aviv   (06.10.12)
Ralph has a great solution for peace, everyone knows it, but the reason no one supports it is because of politics and corruption. 18 months ago all the countries of the world supported Gaddafi, Mubarak and Assad as the wonderful leaders whose sense of justice and great vision would lead the Arab world to salvation if only the Israel question was solved. Suddenly, all the countries hate these three and considers them war criminals and maybe even Zionists.
30. Speaking as former CEO of Cellcom
Ilan   (06.10.12)
Nochi Danker gave Peri a cushy job and dissing Netanyahu is only part of the payment.
