31. I also think this is rubbish
bull shoot ,   basel   (06.15.12)
I think those who took the survey are fabricating their findings.

Jealous of what exactly? That's right, NOTHING. You are laughable.
33. Secular live in filth &then LIE to make themselves feel good
(06.15.12)
This article is nothing but rubbish and baloney and jealousy of religious Jews. Most religious girls don't even have access to internet.
34. THIS IS WHY HAREDI ARE SCARED OF TECHNOLOGY
zionist forever   (06.15.12)
The haredi bashers love to criticise them for not getting liking technology but then you see that when they have access to if they naturally want to know about the forbidden fruit and so they look at this stuff. its also a good reason for the kosher internet which allows access to only approved sites that people also criticise. Maybe its time to give the haredi a break for not wanting to live the secular lifestyle.
35. Why is this in the paper at all?
Koose E Mack ,   NY NY   (06.15.12)
Porno is on the internet....If you don't have internet or one blocks the sites...no problem. Both secular and religious youth are naturally curious. If you don't want them to see porno...put a filter on your computer!
36. #24 Daniel, You are correct and wise. Thank you.

38. According to this study's data, 136% of boys watch porn?
elad ,   pittsburgh, USA   (06.15.12)
The end of the article says the study found 80% of the teens watched porn. If you average the girls responses (17% lo dati, 30% dati) you get about 24% of girls watch porn. Assuming approximately equal numbers of boys and girls, in order to average to 80%, the percentage of boys watching porn has to equal 136% (136%+24% divided by 2 = 80%). Now I think we can all assume that likely 98% or 99% of boys answered yes, but certainly not 136% of boys. This survey is full of crap. Q.E.D.
39. "Sexually Oriented"
Definitions ,   NYC, US   (06.16.12)
The study says that the observant girls claimed to go to more "sexually oriented" sites. If two girls, one observant and one not observant, went to the same site is it inconceivable that the observant girl might consider it sexually oriented while the not observant girl wouldn't? For example, a Victoria's Secret website. An observant girl might regard that as sexually oriented, a non observant girl might not. Without an actual control for defining a "sexually oriented" website the study is meaningless.
40. Women's health sites are not "porn sites"
Babishka ,   USA/Mea Shearim   (06.16.12)
Women do not have the same attraction to pornography that men have. These girls were probably looking up information at women's health sites. Totally normal and nothing for YNet to gloat about.
41. May be secular girls just too shy to admit?
Miron ,   USA   (06.17.12)
We are a lot more alike then some may want to believe.
42. Religious and haredi girls live in large
J.K. ,   Brooklyn USA   (06.17.12)
households, how and when can they visit those treif websites ?.
43. 24
zionist forever   (06.17.12)
The solution is expansion of kosher internet. Websites designed for religious Jew and everything considered non kosher blocked. Do that and internet is not an exciting forbidden fruit and they can enjoy use of internet but in a controlled manner same way ordinary people have blocks so their kids can use internet but sites the parents don't approve of like porn etc are blocked. This does though show why the haredi have good reason to fear technology.
44. Think tablets
R Narz ,   Toronto   (06.19.12)
The humble little wifi tablet is revolutionizing access. Absolutely everyone who can afford to buy one (no hookup or monthly fees needed) is now online. I've seen tablets in the Staples ad that would do the job for $89 Cdn when on sale (Coby). I'm sure they would cost a bit more in Israel, but still be there. Only the truly dirt poor are still offline now, everyone else is online.
45. What do you honestly expect?
Will Edwards ,   Dallas TX USA   (06.19.12)
In every era, in every country, in every village on earth, most have to learn by doing and mistake. The guidelines and principles drilled into them as children will survive as long as you don't scare them off with your beating chests. You cannot stop a person with a mind of his/her own, but you can teach them how to learn from it and become better human beings.

Shame on you! You have no idea what you are talking about! No haredi or girl in a yeshiva goes out "partying". Don't talk about people of whom you know nothing!
