1. IDF retaliation
Iletzter ,   TA- Israel   (06.20.12)
Palestinian fired 30 rockets , so what did IDF do. Struch a refugee camp with no injuries ! What a joke ! I suppose the only time IDF does anything is when there are victims.
2. Blah blah. The sad thing is that the army
Dyslexic..... ,   Israel ..   (06.20.12)
and our wonderful Government have come to the conclusion that the bombing of our cities is the reality that we today have to live by.Instead of taking the army into Gaza and giving Hamas a hiding once and for all or even taking Gaza back once and for all,we do nothing.Just using our air force is not the answer.Hamas lives for violence and hate.
3. Patting hmself on the shoulder ,that's what he does best
ab   (06.20.12)
Gazans freely milling around, the untouchables, while tens of thousands of Israelis hunkering down -and forced to listen to boastings of Ganz .
4. Kill the enemy
Jerome ,   Basalt, Colorado   (06.20.12)
They just don,t understand anything else!
5. Enough with statements
Israeli from Turkey   (06.20.12)
With all due respect to the IDF, I believe that many of us are tired of listening/reading statements and are expecting concrete reactions that will put an end to this situation once and for all.
6. And when will
Mara ,   Vienna   (06.20.12)
that "anytime" be? Stop talking, get acting! Who can have respect for you if you behave like cowards anxious to defend your homeland?
7. IDF Chief
Ilan ,   Be'er Sheva   (06.20.12)
Gantz TALKS such a good fight but he dances to Hamas' tune whenever they decide to attack us.
8. When will it end? Too much talk
David ,   Israel   (06.20.12)
The problem is our leaders are too scared to do what is needed and receive the backlash after then to allow mild responses to quiet the public. Cast Lead could have ended with the end of Hamas but instead we retreated to allow these rockets to fall 3 years later
9. We'll meet any threat, any time
Albrecht Klein ,   Germany   (06.20.12)
Sorry, Lt.-Gen., but you are not even able to manage those primitives from Hamas. What do you want to do if Iran and its aides decide to challenge you - talk?
10. As Gantz continues to gloat...
Naor ,   USA   (06.20.12)
Hamas continues to fire its rockets with impunity on the heads of my family in Ezorat Eshkol (who may see the wedding they have been tirelessly been planning for MONTHS cancelled). The IDF has become an institution that is all talk and not a single one of its enemies fear it due to Israel's gutless leaders.
11. I'm an outsider here,but am an Israel ..
Malone ,   Hfx   (06.20.12)
..supporter. I feel that Israel is far too concerned with world opinion, when they should be concerned more with the views and safety ot the citizens...never mind the lefties,or the world..or obambi...just take these scum out once and for all, otherwise it will never end. They respect only force. Peace through superior fire power!!
12. Enough already!
Rickey ,   NY, NY   (06.20.12)
Take these clowns out! How long will Israel tolerate this nonsense? If Mexico was shooting rockets into Texas, how do you think the U.S. would react? Mexico would cease to exist!
13. Gantz is a pathetic joke!
Jake Stone ,   USA   (06.20.12)
14. We'll meet any threat. Huh? 25 rockets within 24 hrs
(06.20.12)
and what does Israel do? Bomb empty fields.
15. IDF have become experts at "talk"
A Very Heavy Stone ,   Florida   (06.20.12)
I don't believe the wimpy Israeli government anymore as it's all been proven to be just talk ! They don't have the green light from their gods of no peace in Washington to do anything else.
16. Iron Dome
Zvi ,   Yerushalayim, Israel   (06.20.12)
What happened to Iron Dome?
17. SECURE BIG ISRAEL, Sinai back, nonviolent transfer, BALANCE.
Jerry ,   The Netherlands   (06.20.12)
18. They fire 60 Rockets.We kill 1 terro. Pisspoor
Alan ,   SA   (06.20.12)
ZSince Obama became the Prez, they never had it so good! Israel even stopped CAST LEAD the day before his Inauguration!
19. If they fire 25 rockets
Jerome ,   Basalt, Colorado   (06.20.12)
There should be 26 dead terrorist and I am being liberal!
20. gaza
spookey ,   birmingham uk   (06.20.12)
the rest of the middle east to occupied with its own problems .and the world could not careless about gaza now is the time to hit them hard thats the only thing they understand , stop pussyfooting around
21. The weight of your words
Calpur   (06.20.12)
This is the title of a book which deals with how important it is for you to say what you mean and mean what you say. Over time the empty vessesl of the Israeli elitist governments have lost their verbal power as what they say means literally nothing, their words have zero mass.
22. A joke
Eric ,   NYC   (06.21.12)
Israel deserves what they are getting..They refuse to give the terrorist the knockout punch..So stop whining and just take the abuse.
23. Empty Words
Bill Foonman ,   Jacksonville, USA   (06.21.12)
"IDF chief: We'll meet any threat, any time." So what is preventing you from doing that? Hamas is probably laughing at Israel for its puny response.
24. Sounds Like the OK Coral. Why don't we DO something Instead
inetfraud ,   US-IL   (06.21.12)
Sounds like a bunch of macho men in a shootout on the street a hundred years ago. Ridiculous. Enough is enough already: a ground invasion is necessary, with the complete and total destruction of Hamas along with a 1/2 mile, mined border in the south of Gaza along with 50 feet deep concrete walls in the ground. A COMPLETE AND TOTAL DISARMING of the entire strip; house to house. A Full EXPULSION of all Hamas personnel to a 3rd country OUTSIDE of the Immediate ME nations and all extremists as well. This is an ongoing attempt to murder innocent people. When will Israel stop listening to the international community and MAN THE F@&K UP!? Turkey has been EXTERMINATING the Kurds and they don't even get any flack; screw the UN and NGO's: its time to take all of these matters into our own hands and CRUSH these savages completely. This machery (game playing) is costing lives and destroying the emotional states of many people. It is also creating the conditions for Jews who suffered from Hamas to grow up hating them and wanting to destroy them....thus the cycle of violence continues. Put an end to it already: annex the Strip, boot half the psycho population and call it a day.
25. #2, 4, 5, 24 - Realistically there is no good option
spyguy ,   seattle usa   (06.21.12)
All of you advocating massive murder of Gazans in retaliation for a few rockets, have not thought through the costs. (1) there is no way to "destroy Hamas" without murdering tens of thousands of Gazans and getting thousands of Israelis killed (2) If you re-take Gaza you will be responsible for feeding millions of people (3) even when Israel "fully controlled" Gaza, rockets were fired into Israel on a regular basis. (4) any Israelis that were sent to patrol Gaza would be subject to the same IEDs that defeated the US in Iraq. (5) Any massive killing of Gazans would cause global condemnation & the US would be unable to protect Israel. At a minimum the Israeli economy would be destroyed at worst, Israel would find itself losing a massive war with millions of Arabs (the Saudis would rather their citizens wanted to kill Israelis than the Saudi royal family). The ugly bottom line is the least cost alternative is to loudly complain about the rockets and actually do nothing. Anything else could cost Israel more than it can ever pay. BTW - the very least cost thing to do is NEGOTIATE with the Arabs and evacuate all Israelis from the west bank.
26. moslem citizens of israel
mohson   (06.21.12)
I call on many moslem zionists like kara to ccome out of the closet and declare your affection and service to israel. Tibi and zoabi are liars like erdogan, bs artists, peddlers of hatred that has no basis in fact. Come out like kara and fight for israel. As for morsi or shafiq, israel wants good relations but wants equitable relations but will defend itself against anyone.
27. But Cantz, the threats are in the present!
Harry Wright ,   UK   (06.21.12)
Why the hell are you talking about the future????? Are you a little mixed up about time and space???
28. Hamas Barometer of Iran
Jon F. Isenberg ,   Niles USA   (06.21.12)
I have this feeling that Hamas is ecalating rocket fire for the most part to test Israel's degree of response. If Israel's response is rather weak (which it is) than perhaps it is distracted by greater priorites such as attacking Iran. Reading between the lines Israel clearly has other near term priorities such as a military operation against Iran's nuclear program.
29. TIT FOR TAT A 100% LOOSING GAME FOR ISRAEL..
BUTSeriously ,   Sydney   (06.21.12)
30. THE ELVIS DOCTRINE
David ,   New York, NY   (06.21.12)
"A Little Less Conversation (A Liitle More Action Please)"...or at least Barak and Gantz should stop making the exact same VERBAL threats over and over and over because each time they repeat these same utterances they sound even more empty than the time before. We've heard the RHETORIC so if there are no missions to be carried out, cool it. Repetitive, empty threats EMBOLDEN Israel's enemies. Let the IDF"s ACTIONS speak!
