Wish that there was more of this kind of youth activity around. When this sort of thing no longer makes the news, then we will know that Israel is truly a free democracy.

Israeli Pop and Folk Music is fine but.. Some of the best music Ive enjoyed listening to recently out of Israel is a unique fusion of Mainstream Jazz Rock and Modern Arab Rock.(and dare I say it..with a hint of Klezmer!) ..Off the floor stuff! We want to encourage Israeli Artists from the Israeli Arab and Israeli Jewish in fact musicians from all Israeli Communities to work together and explore and create more of this genre with new rhythms instruments beats and new vocal styles....Because there IS an audience out there wanting to hear much more! Question to Talkbackers....Any possible ideas for a gritty edgy Name for this genre?

This is definitely "Tangent" music where the line meets the curve.
5. #4. Tangent...Youve got it!
Tim ,   Brighton   (07.06.12)
Where the LIne touches the Curve...without crossing it! It expresses the idea that the music can touch a point..then suddenly go off in a completely different direction...!...(maybe?)

Thank you, Tim. Maybe? I'd say definitely. "Tangent" came to me about one second after I read your post because it is a visual word that perfectly expresses the musical genre you described. It also has a nice edge to it. And it also expresses cultural interaction as in the case of this musical - touch, talk, listen, reason together, make music together but don't cross, don't suffocate one another. Instead, enhance these experiences by taking them in new directions that, possibly, no one else ever considered. A tangent is a springboard to new directions mathematically and otherwise. I like what you're doing, Tim. Rock on.

Could you give a few examples of bands playing in this style? BTW, as mentioned in the above comments, "Tangent" sounds like a great idea for the style.
8. Good stuff if Jews and Arabs band together NO ONE can beatus

Have an Israeli born USA success legend Gene Simmons promote and be a partner. Be smart. This can be a huge success in Nation Building.
