1. barak started all this by his idiotic decision to...
rick ,   walnut creek   (07.05.12)
give the waqf an open-ended license for construction on the Temple Mount. typical of the bloated and arrogant barak, he did not consider the consequences of the license that he granted. so typical of barak. unfortunately, so typical of the gov't of Israel.
2. Netanyahu too spineless
Rachel ,   US   (07.05.12)
As always, he won't do a thing.
3. the holy stone
observer ,   Egypt   (07.05.12)
It is certainly 3D. It is certainly mad by Jews. Calling it holy is certainly practicing Avodah Zarah (idolatry).
4. Temple Mount
Bill Poser ,   Prince George, BC   (07.05.12)
It is absurd that the Arabs are allowed to do whatever they want on the Temple Mount. They should not be allowed to do anything other than hold their religious services without government permission, which should be granted only when it is clear that there will be no desecration of Jewish sites or damage to archaeological sites. When permission is granted, their activities should be strictly supervised.
5. the ''jewish'' governement betrays the jewish holy sites !

Devorah   (07.05.12)
Idolatry? Was the Aron HaBrit idolatry? How about the temple and all the artifacts connected with it? Do Jews worship any of these things? NO!!! The stone is an object of Jewish historical significance, just as Haram al-Sharif, Mecca and Medina are to mooslims whether you like it or not, you idiot.

8. Enough of this!
Israel Watchdog ,   Israel   (07.05.12)
How long are we going to sit back and just watch as our Holiest site is being trampled on, desiccated on and destroyed? STOP them already!
9. once they destroy all the evidence of Jewish history here...
mary_of_bethanys ,   singapore   (07.05.12)
destroying all Israel's First Temple Artifacts and evidences is just the First step to claiming the whole Temple Mount. Next, they will declare to the stupid UNESCO that it is facing destruction (again, by Israelis' construction of the new better permanent Mughrabi Bridge), then they will bid for Dome of the Rock / Al Aqsa to be UNESCO heritage stie under Palestine. such is the cunning plan of the PA, one step at a time. to Islamilize the Temple Mount. getting Church of the Nativity just boosted their confident !
10. God'll judge those who sat and did nothing!
A Jew Weeps! ,   Israel's Homeland   (07.05.12)
Especially, the secular...godless heathens' that, supposedly, lead Israel. The people need to, by any means, stop this evil desecration of the most holy site in the world (that rightfully belongs to Israel--only!). Dayan was a godless-idiot. That's what you get when secularists' are in charge who were voted-in by a, mostly, secular society. God have mercy on us!!!
11. To the Observer @ #3!
Z.Z. Coltrane ,   USA   (07.05.12)
False idol? How about your false moon-god that resides in a black stone in the Kabbah at Mecca?! How, conveniently, some brainwashed morons forget. Not to mention Muhammed's love for sleeping with and marrying little children (talk about a sick, false prophet!). Israel needs to stop the godless Muslims from destroying their rightful heritage that was given to them by the true God of Israel!
12. How fitting the"Jericho First" slogan was! There was a first
tom ,   tel aviv   (07.05.12)
but obviously there is no "last" as to Jewish grovelling& impotence. Sometimes I think we suffer from mass "Survivor's Complex". Funny: I don't feel guilty of living and claiming our rights. When will the "man on the street" get, that enough is enough? After they stop protesting cottage cheese prices and social justice......??
13. Everybody is barking up the wrong tree....!!!!
Aryeh ,   Israel   (07.05.12)
This buck stops at Netanyahu's desk. About 20 years too late, but demand he stop everything and hold BIBI accountable.
14. when some Rabbi are accusing Jews of stepping on Holy Ground
mary_of_bethany ,   singapore   (07.05.12)
forbid Jewish Worship to step on Temple Mount above the Western Wall. don't mention about the thousand of tourists that walked 'The Ground" daily. but the arabs are desecrating like nobody's business. this is something i can never understand.
15. Wonder why Govt. does not act...
Yonathan Haokip ,   Sderot, Israel   (07.05.12)
This site is the place of reason why Israel still stands, Israel is meaning less and is nothing if the temple mount is destroyed..Lets learn from the Past..We have all the rights to protect our heritage..we let the Arabs guard the place and not to destroy it. If the govt does not respond, we the people will stand together, to prevent the holy site from filthy Wakf.
16. Ceding Jewish rights only to "buy Muslim quiet"
Raymond in DC ,   Washington, USA   (07.05.12)
The left claims that Israel's current failings can be traced to the "occupation" that began in 1967. It's probably more correct to say that it began when, after Israel retook eastern Jerusalem, Dayan not only ordered the Israeli flag pulled down from the Temple Mount but reaffirmed the authority of the Islamic Waqf over the Mount. Dayan in effect said "We (Jews/Israelis) have no claims here. You are in charge." And indeed, it is the Muslims who set the rules, who build and destroy as they see fit. And it is the Israeli Police that enforce the rules, so if a Jew so much as moves his lips quietly (as in prayer) he can be arrested. It's the reason a report on Israel's failure to protect and defend against Islamic depredations there has been squashed. All to "buy Muslim peace" - which has yet to come. It's a truism that, under law, if one fails to assert and defend one's claims and rights, one effectively cedes them to others. That's what's happening on the Mount.
17. #13 Aryeh is right! The PM needs to be accountable
Mark   (07.05.12)
No point in blaming police or the Arabs. It's for Israel to rectify Dayan's decision. The government looking the other way only encourages more desecration and more hostility against Jews who want to visit and pray at the site.
18. To #15: I'm on YOUR side, but
(07.05.12)
you effectively make a mockery of this cause with your final sentence which gives off only utter puerile naivete and your defective grammar. Who beside yourself (if even only you) is willing to take concrete action of the sort you're mentioning?? I'd like to see for a change a Jew that walks their talk instead of issuing blah-blah while doing nothing.
19. Israel needs to have new elections and to
jason white ,   afula, israel   (07.06.12)
replace bib and buraq. All our politicians are cowards and will do nothing to defend our land and religious sites. We need new people to govern Israel and to remove the wakf from control of our most sacred Jewish holy site. Put the wakf and all those that work for them in prison for destroying a Jewish holy site. This was part of the damage done to Judaism by dayan. Who gave him the right to turn over our holy sites to heathens?
20. where is the leadership? How is this allowed? Likud /right

22. Where?
observer ,   Egypt   (07.07.12)
Biblical scholars have often identified the Temple Mount with two biblical mountains of uncertain location: Mount Moriah where the binding of Isaac took place, and Mount Zion where the original Jebusite fortress stood, however both interpretations are disputed. But, does G-d needs man to build house for Him in order to inhabit (Shekinah) and have peace of mind (Sakinah in Arabic)? If the bible were a logbook for recording real estate property could the bible have missed the house of G-d, the holiest of the holey and could not have the EXACT location and exact name that would be famous by it in the whole world.
