the people who live in yesha should lay the foundation of additional education centers throughout yesha such as Shilo kedumim and other major settlements. In due time, within 20-25 years there will be enough students there to require more universities and these foundations will easily turn into very sophisticated institutions of highe learning. Let the arab students come and learn (without forming Islamic student unions) so gradually the arab society in yesha transforms into a more emlightened one.
2. Ariel should have been recognised long ago !

Finally do it !
3. The university will serve local population.

This will be a very positive development in the service of peace. Later, if Yesha territories become "hutz la'aretz" again, the institution can move along with many other things.
4. Academicians are hollywood-quality actresses

I do not doubt that the opposition to upgrading Ariel to a University has (leftist) political roots. But I would also like to remind our gentle readers that also, they may not comprehend what a brutal snakepit Academia is when it comes to fighting about money. An additional university ==does== mean the others will have to have a smaller peice of the pie. But they wanted to be sociology professors, so let them live with the consequences. If they don't like it, let them learn to fix a railroad-diesel or weld an offshore gas -drilling rig. Then they'd be swimming in money.
