1. Bibi & Mofaz need each other right now
zionist forever   (07.06.12)
Labor have gained strength and Kadima are at rock bottom so there are probably quite alot of Kadima voters who would be willing to give Shelly Y a shot as she it the rookie and she will probably inherit Livni's crown as champion of the female vote. Bibi has to worry about the likes of Yair Lapid poaching Likud votes especially if he doesn't follow through with Tal Law reform. Before Mofaz replaced Livni as head of Kadima the Likud / Shas, / YB coalition was fracturing which was why we were facing elections. Mofaz gave Bibi that new lease of life he needed. . Unless he can prove himself a capable leader Mofaz doesn't have a chance and to do that he can't risk an election. Bibi doesn't want an election right now so these two need to get their act together and sort out their differences. Just shows how pathetic the system is whereby an issue as TRIVIAL as the haredi draft can end up bringing down a government.

4. Hmmm. A rift? Between Likud & ....
Gideon Reader ,   USA   (07.06.12)
...Kadima? Who could have possibly ever thought such a thing could occur? By the bye,...does the Zipperette stil show up a Kadima HQ to swamp out the joint? You know. Charwoman and all that.
5. Who wants Bibi to throw Kadima a lifeline?
Chaim ,   Israel   (07.06.12)
When Bibi foolishly invited Kadima into the government, he threw Kadima a lifeline. Polls show Kadima is disappearing and would win as few as 3 mandates in an election today. Who wants Bibi to throw Kadima a lifeline? Israel would be far better off without this corrupt, appeasing party.
6. Mofaz and Kadima
John Sombrero ,   USA   (07.06.12)
If Mofaz is asking all or nothing the I question his motives is it really the Draft or is he doing this at the urge of Obama to bring down the goverment. If a few hundred are exempt and the rest are not that is a small price to pay for a compromise. I always believed in the universal draft to get that exempting a very small number is worth it.
7. Likud does not need Kadima
