In Israel the building codes are appalling and the traditional design of building on stilts only makes buildings even less likely to survive a major earthquake or a missile attack and even the terrorists will soon be able to hit downtown Tel Aviv. With all the new buildings going up and pulling down of old ones now is the perfect time to introduce legislation for new building codes, something that would make much better use of Knesset time than haredi drafting.

The next big controversy in Holy Land will be what to do when the Big One finally brings down the Dome of the Rock. Also, Fundamentalists will move en masse to the kibbutzim they're preparing for the Day of Judgement and will bring up the agricultural output, so that maybe Israel will start to feed the world. They'll want to see their Savior landing on the Mount of Olives.

HaShem's purposes. When Russia and a Caliphate of Muslim nations attack Israel from the North they will be greeted by an earthquake from HaShem. When the Jewish Messiah Yahshua returns as the Lion of Judah and King of Kings to the Mount of Olives, an earthquake will split the Mount of Olives and Jerusalem will become a seaport city.
